I remember when I was younger at my cousins house we all used to play alot of snes daily over the summer. On a few instances when we would stick the cartrige, and push up on power, the game would give us a message saying " Anyone who copies this game will be persected " etc. Now I don't understand how they copied games back then, but can someone else explain how or why that would happan? as well as list your experience.

Don't recall seeing that message, but back then people used cart copiers to pirate games. I bought a Super Wildcard DX2 a few years ago and loved it to bits. Never did mod it to work with the SFX games though :(

I don't know, persected could be one of those bad translating dealies.

Kinda OT, but I remember an Amiga game (I think it was one of the Dizzy games) that would let you copy it freely, but when you booted the copy, you'd see a screen that says something like "This game is a copy. Please phone [a premium-rate number] for details on how to proceed".
My 11-year-old self thought that was pretty clever :)
