Recived a handheld system called GameMaster + 5 games. This is the worse handheld I played lol. My old Casio calculator could run the same kind of games. It also requires 4x AA batteries. I dont understand why. There is no sound (1 game had sound option, but I didnt manage to turn it on), no background lighting and only black pixels (like gameboy).

Got this lot of NES/SNES boxes today: (boxes only)

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y68/JumpmanPOE/snesb.jpg

Obtaining the boxes was easy.
Finding a loose NES game mixed in somewhere with 650 NES games proves to be quite the daunting task. Took my 20 minutes to find the 5 NES games to fit in their respective boxes. LOL

Today, I got in:

Miscellaenous figures that included two Final Fantasy figures (forget who at the moment)
Coolboarders 3 (PSX)
Missile Command (PSX)
Tom & Jerry in House trap (PSX) - disc only

All for free. Then, a friend stopped by work and sold me some games for $25. The games were:

Castlevania (NES)
Ghosts N' Goblins (NES)
Legend of Zelda (NES) - my old one has a bad battery and I'm too lazy to change it out.

Jurassic Park 3: The Chaos Continues (SNES)
Madden '94 (SNES)

Excellent finds on the Mario plush (had one from the late '80s a long time ago, loved it dearly before it was lost to a Halloween prank) and Disgaea.

As for me:

Arrived in the mail yesterday to complete the trade for my Inuyasha box set:

The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition.

I finally have it, and it feels so good to never have to bid on this thing ever again.
Suck it, ebay. Suck it long, and suck it hard.

I'd call that a pretty wicked find. I'd be very happy if I found a Nomad for $9 in good condition like that, I'd say that it's equivalent to finding a $5 CDX or X'Eye.

Last week I was in a thrift store while on vacation in Chicago and I picked up an original NES console for $5, plus 2 controllers and the orange light gun for $1 a pop. The console came with a non-working power adapter (luckily i had a spare) and had a copy of The Little Mermaid inside. Now granted I'm a college graduate, age 22, and (shh...) i still played that game for at least half an hour. Don't tell my girlfriend, she'll make fun of me.
I also got a Genesis game genie and NBA Live 98 for $2; and (this made me happy) Resident Evil 2 for N64 for $1.

Now, this wasn't a find from recently, but i've never posted before so i figured i'd put it up. Last year i got a lot of atari games off some obscure offering-for-sale site for $20 or so. With this lot was something like 15 Atari games, 2 near-perfect condition original 2600 controllers and the keypad controller, nearly all the instruction manuals (w00t! - including the Yars' Revenge comic book - brings back memories of playing that when i was 5 or 6).

There were also these weird little Amiga Power-Stick controllers for the 2600 (listed in the rarity guide incorrectly as "PowerStik"):

(click for larger versions)
http://people.brandeis.edu/~yoni/Amiga_Power-Stick/front.JPG (http://people.brandeis.edu/~yoni/Amiga_Power-Stick/front-Large.JPG)http://people.brandeis.edu/~yoni/Amiga_Power-Stick/back.JPG (http://people.brandeis.edu/~yoni/Amiga_Power-Stick/back-Large.JPG)

for scale purposes, side-by-side with the original controller and in my (rather large and bony) hand:

http://people.brandeis.edu/~yoni/Amiga_Power-Stick/side-by-side.JPG (http://people.brandeis.edu/~yoni/Amiga_Power-Stick/side-by-side-Large.JPG)

http://people.brandeis.edu/~yoni/Amiga_Power-Stick/in-hand.JPG (http://people.brandeis.edu/~yoni/Amiga_Power-Stick/in-hand-Large.JPG)

Oddly enough, they're not too bad to play on (at least compared to using the original atari joysticks, which aside from looking cool were terrible control devices, or to going the "ghetto route" and just plugging original Genesis controllers - which have a terrible d-pad). I'd never seen these before, and supposedly they're pretty uncommon - they alone justified the $20 for the lot.

Well, the find of the week for me is a NHL 97 for the Genny :embarrassed:

Not only that, but damnit I hit the goodwill earlier (where I got NHL) and found about 15 PERFECT 2600 games. These games looked flawless, like they had been opened only days earlier. So I walk up to the counter with my NHL '97 and 12 2600 games. Of course they charge 1.99 for the Genny NHL game and 1.99 per 2600 game... I left the 2600 games there, but damnit its eating away at me now :/

I picked up two of those back when Mike Etler had his store. Great find! They are truly fantastic for the 2600. Add a whole new level of control, and with MUCH less fatigue.

Disaster Report- $9 (still smells new!)
Smuggler's Run- $5
Rescue Copter (PS1)- FREE w/ buy 2 used get 1 more free

Reupped @ GameStop for a year of Game Informer (he threw in a couple issues) plus their 10% off deal..

I thought, why not. GI's like the only gaming mag I wasn't subscribing to.

Picked up Burnout Revenge for the Xbox at PC World for £29.99.

And Puyo Pop Fever (£11.99) and F-Zero: Maximum Velocity (£9.99), both from Play, arrived.

Just got my n-gage games from ebgames.com
(I didn't get all of the ones I ordered, but I wasn't charged for the ones I didn't get either):
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (ng) - 6.99
Operation Shadow (ng) - 6.99
X-Men Legends (ng) - 6.99
Worms World Party (ng) - 6.99

All 4 of those are new.

I went to the GameStop in my area and found out that every N-Gage game that gave is now 50% off, so I picked up:

Pandemonium (ng) - 5.00
Puyo Pop (ng) - 7.50
Colin McRae 2005 (ng) - 7.50
Puzzle Bobble (ng) - 5.00

I also got this from eBay (which I am pretty happy about because it is complete):

Complete N-Gage (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5809951311&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1)

I now remember the other 2 SNES games I got from Goodwill:
Super R-Type
Zombies Ate My Neighbors

You're always looking out for me :) Anyway, I think SegaAges got confused. Poor guy.
