I am.
Ninja Gaiden was one of the best action/adventure games I've played since Super Metroid. I wanna see all the add-on's (I haven't even played the hurricane packs yet).
This question is also for those who wanted the game but decided to wait on it for no particular reason...

I don't currently own NG but i'd say i count since i'm gonna walk into the store and pick up both NG and NGB.
I too haven't played the hurricane packs but NGB has more then just the add-ons. If i get both i'll have the original and the sweet new version that looks oh so painful. Alma with goons? Oh dear god.

I can't imagine what it'll be like to be Ayane's dog. Oh i hear she's a cruel mistress too. Could be fun in that oh so naughty way.

Sadly I sold my xbox, so I wont be able to play NG Black, but I'll pick up a copy to play on my 360 :) Hopefully it'll be BC.

I think they said the original will be backwards compatible. I'm praying this one will be, too. I think this is the last Xbox game of the current generation I was looking forward to.

I'll be buying it for sure, and for a price I usually don't pay for a new game: $30.
I haven't played the new Ninja Gaiden because I never saw the thing under $30. With all the extra material on the 'Black' version I'll bite in the sour price apple.
I'm really looking forward playing a tough Ninja Gaiden again. :)

Don't think I'll be getting it. I tried getting back into Ninja Gaiden recently and it just didn't click with me like it did when it first came out. I felt like I was fighting the environment and the camera instead of the bad guys.
One weapon you get in Black you can't get via download (so I've heard) is the staff. I saw a video clip on X Play and it looks like a VERY fun toy.

I own the original and preordered NG: Black @ Outpost.com when they had it for $24.99 w/ free shipping. Hopefully it will be shipping soon.

Yep the staff certainly looks like fun. Like good enough to buy it fun.

This one finally includes the Arcade Ninja Gaiden. I'd have both just to have NG 1-2-3 and the Arcade

Probably. I am always looking for excuses to build up my XBOX collection, and I do hope the difficulty is of better balance. I had a lot of trouble with that damn Skeleton Dragon (but I was very conservative with my healing items, ya see) but beat Alma on the first try (even though I used just about every item in my menu), and after her, I found some things to be poundingly difficult and other to not be as such. Just let me make this request (one that might get strange glances)... PLEASE make the final boss more difficult. I know that the rest of the game is difficult, but ending it with a Gradius Final Boss Syndrome just left a bad taste in my mouth somehow. I haven't played it in a while, but from what I can remember, I enjoyed considerably, and I will be looking forward to NG Black...

I feel like I'm missing something on this...I can't find a difficulty setting adjustment ANYWHERE. Can someone help me out?
So does black contain the original game, or is it just an expantion? Sorry I'm a little late to the party.

I think I'll be getting the game for sure. The extras look awesome, and the cover art was quite bad ass when I saw it in the drops at work.

You should defenitely start it up. Don't let the difficulty hype keep you away. The beginning of the game is honestly the hardest part of all. The horseback riding bosses annoyed the living hell out of me. After you get to the airship, once you upgrade your sword to get the swallow stike, that's all you'll need for the rest of the game. Later on, with a fully upgraded dabihillaro (or whatever the !@#$ it's called) you'll be able to take out big enemies with one combo. Then when you get to the ghost fish, all you have to do is sit around and swing your flails for like 1 minute and suck up some souls for a combo which will give you even more souls and pretty soon you'll max out your money ;D.
I'd also keep a step by step eye on the guide so you find all the golden scarabs and reap all the awards. It can be easy to accidentally skip by one, and you wouldn't want to end up with 49 and have no IDEA where the last one might be.

It's a "remix" of the original xbox game. The same game with some improvements, new costumes, new weapons, added/extended cutscenes, improved camera, and a mission mode, or something like that... I haven't bought the game yet, but I'm getting it later tonight. It's been getting some sweet reviews.

i haven't beaten the original, but im thinking of sitting down and beating it on the hardest difficulty. i know this will take some time, but i have no job and do not go to school, so this could be considered a acomplishment for me .
anyone else attempt it on ninja master difficulty?

Ugh, been dying to play this game forever, but still awaiting the part from lik-sang. Which difficulties have the extra monsters and what not from the hurricane packs? Is it hard or very hard or what?
