I recently aquired another Neogeo but this one is modded. Hooked up the system soon after I recived it, but to my dismay the s video mod only displyed in black and white. So I open it up in hopes to repair it somehow. Unfortunatly I've never seen this mod before, it is completely different from neogeo.coms' s video mod.

So my questions are
Any ideas tips on how to fix?
Does anyone know who modded this system?
If so how can I get in contact with him/her?

Heres some pics of said mod.

Wow I have no idea what could be wrong you should ask the guys in the Technical and Restoration Society. They've helped me through a few things.

I'll bet your jack is not getting a chroma signal. Check the connections to the jack, and trace back to the amp circuit. Also at the SONY CXA video encoder chip, where luma and chroma are tapped.

Dunno who modded that one. Not me. Mine all say 'OSG Upgraded AES' on the Universe BIOS splash screen. 8-)

Hmmm...hope you didn't somehow get an amateur mod. All the solderings seem decent enough. If you need an extra tv to try it out on, bring it over ;D.

Hmm... that looks familiar.

Agreed: check chroma connection at CXA chip, and make sure the ground wire hasn't bumped into the chroma terminal at the s-vid jack. Check for things "disturbed in transport".
