I was making the rounds for a first time in a long time and hit up Toys R Us as a longshot for some of the GBA classic NES games I'm looking for.
They've got a good chunk of stuff green tagged, and the two I went to had different stuff tagged. I don't know if this corresponds to the Canadian thread below, but I picked up these titles:
Xbox - Sudeki - $10
Xbox - Guilty Gear X2 Reload - $10
PS2 - Musashi Samurai Legend - $10
PS2 - Onimusha 3 - $7.50
PSOne Official Sony memcard - $5
Other stuff I saw that I didn't pickup:
GBA-Broken Sword $10
PS2-Phantom Brave $15
PS2-Demon Stone $10
And those bigass aluminum system carry cases for $30.
And since both stores had different stock, it might be worth taking a look at the list in the canadian thread and asking if they're clearanced as well.

PS2 - Musashi Samurai Legend - $10
I think I'm going to Toys R Us tomorrow. I liked what I played in the demo, and I've been waiting for the game to drop in price.
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is also part of the green-tag savings. It runs about $25 after the discount, which isn't bad, considering that EB and GameStop charge around $40 for a used copy.
$5 for a Sony PS memory card- is that a deal?
& I understand the first-party brand name importance.

It is for me. For some reason, I can't locate any of the 3 memory cards I have for the ps1 at the moment. Beats chancing a used off-brand from Gamestop.

I thought that they had been back to 50% off for a while? I recently stopped by and happily picked up Yourself! Fitness for the Xbox, which I've been interested in but completely unwilling to pay $34.99 for. At $17.50, I decided to bite.
I also got THUG for the GameCube for $10, Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1 for $5.00 and TriggerMan (not on sale) for $5.98.

Holy shit, if your store has a copy of SMT: Nocturne, can you pick one up for me and I'll get you $35 shipped?

This is the reason that I hate to live in a small town. The only stores that sale video games are Wal-Mart and K-Mart. The ones here never have any sales, or discounted games.
I was in Wal-Mart a couple weeks back, and am in the need of a couple GBA games that I have everything for but the cartridges. In the bin that holds the games are a bunch that have box's that are smashed flatter that a piece of paper, and part of the plastic has come off.
I asked one of the sales people if the discount the mashed box games, and she said" No, there will be someone come in and buy them".

Word is that the sale (which hit 50% in August) is going to 70% on the 27th. Highly suggest waiting to see if it happens.

I work for TRU. Trust me, it will. By the end of the year, it'll be up to 90%. But a lot of the good stuff, particularly at my store (Medford, MA) will be long gone by then.
We did the green tag sale last year too, and we still had some games leftover back in June that were up to 90%, which was great cuz they were regularly priced $10, so after the green tag and my employee discount (plus the 5% sales tax) I got Sega SmashPack for GBA and Virtua Tennis for DC for 95 cents each.
I am going to have to scour my sister stores for some of the titles we've already sold out of. I want Demon Stone and a few other titles and I wanna pay significantly less for them than they are now. I'm on a very tight budget lately.

I remember hearing (reading) once that you can bring in your receipt and they'll pay you the difference with store credit or something. Anyone got any info on that? Because If it's true I'm gonna sang all their extra copies of Metal Slug 3 as trade bait.
Anyways, I picked up Musashi Samurai Legends and Feel the Magic today for 20 bucks total. Not too bad.

I asked the girl at the register about that and she said it would happen as well. Didn't have much to pick through at my local TRU (Muncy, Pennsylvania). But did manage to snag Guilty Gear X2 #Reload for Xbox. It wasn't even green tagged but rang up as such.
