Everyone here is selling..............well i know there are people buying as well, but there is a serious shit load of people buying to pay off debts, crack habits, college, my question is why is everything so f**king expensive in the first place, why? The games are priced by our own lifestyles, which is obviously expensive seeing the prices that rare games fetch. My main worry seems to be that there are people with obviously excessive amounts of money willing to pay for these retro games, that is a scary thought. Who and what are these people, Its one thing to pay £40 for a game, then theres paying £500 for a game, this is just plain stupid in my opinion.
Colections are a fun pastime, and then there are obsessions,

You are what you are, nobody can change you.

What gets me are the people that overspend on common games. There is an auction going on right now for a 2600 Pac-Man cart 4 bids @ about $5.00 plus shipping for the second most common 2600 game out there. I see this happen all of the time, they just don't research what they buy, they lock into the first one they see and keep bidding.

Wish they'd see some of my auctions once in a while.

I HAVE to share this ... just another example that the above happens all the time. 6 weeks ago, I sold Star Tropics for the NES. It was complete in box and that was it. It fetched $31.26 and I had two of them so I offered a 2nd chance. The second one was picked up for $30.26. Meanwhile, factory sealed copies sell for about $15.

I just don't get it, do people not see that there is a search for completed items. It's like they are just made of money and feel that searching is a waste of thier precious time.

It wouldn't bother me nearly as much if it were my auctions though LOL .

I am sure that for some people it is not worth their time to save a few dollars by searching for the best price when all they want is a game they remember playing years ago and they want to get it for nostalgic reasons. Collectors do the research because they buy a lot more than just one or two games a year and they need to be cost concious.

Some people have alot of money and want to spend it on thing likes their hobbies. It's not that crazy. But if you're spending that much when you don't have it you got problems.
