View Full Version : Price Check: N64 Lot
Hey everyone I'm looking for some advice on this lot of N64 stuff. Here's what's included, everything is loose unless otherwise noted:
GT64 (box)
Donkey Kong 64
Virtual Pool
Crusin World
Mario Tennis (box)
Snowboard Kids 2 (guide and box)
Diddy Kong racing
Paper Mario (Box and manual)
N64 System (includes expansion pak, 2 controllers and rumble pak)
How much do you think this stuff is worth? The person selling it is looking for $70 firm (Canadian).

Agreed, that's an acceptable price for a starter set. I thought Snowboard Kids 2 was dreck though and promptly ditched my copy. It's uncommon, but it's another snowboarding game. <Yawn> Paper Mario, Diddy Kong, etc. are decent titles and are priced reasonably. The exp. Packed system doesnt hurt the deal either. I'd grab that unit up if I were you. (and could afford it. :) )

I'd say thats between a 'Good' Deal, and a 'Great' deal. So, I'd go for it.

Personally it seems VERY high to me, then again I've bought plenty N64's for 5.00 and bundles with twice as many games as that for 20.00. So I may not be the right person to talk to.

You could do better, but you could do a whole lot worse, too. 70 Canadian is less than 70 american, no?
The console has the expansion pack
Paper Mario is worth some $ and it's complete here
Diddy Kong Racing is way fun
Mario Tennis is great
Donkey Kong will keep you busy for weeks
Snowboard kids is also fun and will get some coin if resold
I'd say get it!
:D
Actually the main reason I'm getting the bundle is because of Paper Mario. I already own Mario Tennis, Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing and the expansion pack. The only other items I would probably keep are the extra controller and the rumble pack, perhaps one or two of the games but probably not.

That's very close to $60 USD. I'd pick up the deal if I were you. I want that Snowboard Kids 2 guide.

Then why not just buy Paper Mario from eBay or a user here in the B&S forums? Buying the entire bundle for 70.00 is kinda silly when you just want one game.

i think i paid close to forty bucks american for paper mario, with no box or instructions, so that's a pretty sweet deal.

Ah, well that makes a bit of a differance. That's about $60 in US dollars. That's a bit high for a complete copy of Paper Mario, but you still get some extras. N64 stuff isn't selling for what is used to on Ebay, though, so my answer is... the hell if I know.

Buying lots with only one game you want is pretty much the cheapest way to get the really pain in the ass games. I got a lot of SNES games, one of them was Super Mario RPG. I paid something like $90 for the lot and sold everything else but that for over $70. Certainly a deal.

I'd buy a lot with only one or two items I wanted to keep, depending on the circumstances. If you can sell everything else and make a profit, then you get what you want for free and then some, and if it's something valuable, you can sell everything else and end up getting it for cheap.
Anyway, it sounds like a good deal to me.

I'd say go for it you can easily keep Paper Mario and sell what's left and get your US $60 back.

Go for it. I'd love to get my hands on a box and manuel (sp?) for Paper Mario...

Might be a little high, but there are some things that are worth a fair bit in there... Espessially for a Canadian. Most of the stores up here sell those games for pretty high prices (espessially Paper Mario). I'm not sure if I would buy it (because I'm pretty cheap when it comes to N64) but it isn't to bad of a deal.
Thanks everyone for the advice, I think I'm gonna go for it. Who knows, I might end up selling most of it here! LOL

To me it's a no brainer unless you don't have 70$
You could definately make a profit selling off what you don't want from the package. Just don't take it to a EB or any stores like EB and trade it off for their crappy credit. Sell it personally to people you know or work with that have kids or use it as trade bait with friends or here on DP.
