Wow, hard to beleive there wasnt one of these up already.

Well, the story is kind of cool. I found these at my neighbors house this morning. She has been living there by herself ever since I have moved into the neighborhood. Just this past week, an older woman moved in with her. I guess it's her mother, but anyways... She had a yard sale this morning and I found these NES games there. Took them all for $5. Apparently, the old woman who moved in had one for the grandchildren back in the day. The boxes are pretty rough, but all manuals were included

And wifeys hand pointing at "her" game... She loves paperboy

Well, I failed yet again at all the yard/estate sales I hit. Oh well, next time perhaps. I hate the flea markets out here so I skipped those today and just hit some game stores early:

Game Crazy

Genesis - Art of Fighting - 2
Genesis - Championship Pool - 2
Genesis - Haunting: Starring Polterguy - 2
Genesis - Incredible Hulk - 2
Genesis - Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - 2

All loose...but I have the boxes/manuals for all. I accidentally bought championship POOL and not BOWLING. Oh well, my copy of cham. pool is factory sealed so it works out fine.

Some Pawn...

SNES - Secret of Mana (loose) - 5

SWEET! I sold my cart a while back. I have the box/manual/map in mint condition for this as well.

Game World

Genesis - Pro Moves Soccer (complete) - 3
Genesis - Race Drivin (complete) - 3
Genesis - Zoop (complete) - 3

Btw Tynstar...if you read this before you go there, I wouldn't even bother. The games you need are rediculously expensive and they're all nasty rental copies. Would be better off going ebay. I was able to get those in decent condition but that's about it.

Not really a find but I did win a Xbox 360 from the Mountain Dew contest on Thursday. Didn't want to create a new thread so I decided to post it here. Yes it's true, people do win these contests. =) Party, my house, November 19th.

I just got back from my friend's store and she has some old Neo Geo Pocket stuff. She only had 3 games

Neo Geo Turf Masters
Puyo Pocket
Pac Man

all $10 each and sealed.

I picked up 2 Sealed Neo Geo Pockets for $30 each.

Good Deal? How much are these worth if they're sealed?

Dude, that's freaking awesome! I never hear of anyone winning these damn things. Mayhaps I need to pick up a mountain dew ;D. Maybe I'll get lucky as well. Would be nice since my xbox DIED. Anyhow, I headed out to Bookman's and picked up these:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y20/hellvin/nes1.jpg

NES - Immortal (complete) - 10
NES - James Bond Jr (complete) - 8
NES - Swords & Serpents (complete) - 10
NES - Ultima: Exodus (complete) - 10

Man...a lot more than I was really hoping to spend but I have such a damn hard time resisting complete NES games. The three they had in the glass case are in IMMACULATE condition. The shrink wrap makes em look factory sealed. James Bond Jr isn't too bad but I got it as well since it's a slighly uncommon. Oh well, it's not like I'd be likely to score em any cheaper so what the hell....

Damn NES temptations! Supposed to be concentrating on genesis ;D.

It sure would, wouldn't it. =)

We're supposed to get the 360's on the Saturday before the release date so that would be the 19th. So I'm throwing a small 360 party. Hopefully the controllers and some of the games will be available the week before like I hear. Having just one controller for the party would suck, but hey its the 360 early. I'm also recieving Madden '06 in the package. I'm looking to pick up either Perfect Dark or Need for Speed.

You know I had no interest at all in the 360 before, I had even pondered selling it if I won. But now I think I'm going to keep it for at least a month. Get a month of Live and rock out. Might even keep it for all the 3rd party games cross platform games so I won't have to buy a PS3.

Of course now I feel the need to own a HDTV. Argh.

Every one should at least attempt to play the sweepstakes. It took me 56 caps to win (2 per drawing). I think my odds were close to 1:700+ when I won. I had everyone at my work saving caps for me. Its exciting and everyone at work is jealous or at least can't believe I actually won. Now I'm working on getting a friend one. Have to spread the love.

If you get the 360 a week early I would put it up on ebay that day under a 3 day auction and offer over night shipping. People go nuts for stuff like this esp on ebay...you may be able to double or triple the actual cost and then just go buy a new one on release day.

Just a thought

I got a Mega CD 1 loose for £5 with Sol-Feace/Cobra Command and Sega Arcade Classics for £1.50 each

They aren't the best games ever but I'm sure there are at least a few decent games on the Mega CD, although the good ones seem to go for over £20 :(

I had a chat with the person I bought it off and he said he had 200 Megadrive games. He seemed to be proud that he spent £30 on SoR 3. I told him someone I know (Cauterize) Has over 300 MD games and about as many Master System games LOL

Here's what I found at the thrifts the other day:
http://www.evg2000.com/wf/wf20050925.jpg
The TV computer game was $9 or $10
the Atari 800xl was $1.80
the NES games $3.00 each
Game Gear Woody Pop $5.00
everything else $1.00 each
One of the four VEC games I actually needed, Bedlam
and the Coleco cart Brain Strainers was one I needed also, so it is still possible to find stuff you need in the wild!
And actually I needed all of the genesis game, someone recently told me I had a wimpy genesis collection.

Got the following at a local flea market. I actually was a dealer there, but it was so dead I started shopping instead. Here is what I got:

Pic one: Cost me $40 total. It was 2 big bins full of dirty consoles, cords, adaptors & controllers all tangled up. This photo was taken after I sorted it all out.

http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/ma/masco/dplot1.jpg

5 Nes units
2 genesis model 1
Nes satelite
various cords and accessories
snes power cords,controllers
Got a loose snes super scope reciever
Also a black nes reciever that I am not sure of what is for. I am thinking wireless controllers?? Anyone know??

Box 2:

Saw the 2 3do games on top. The lady was trying to get rid of bulk not 1 or 2 items she told me $5 for the whole box and I said sold. After I went through it found about 10-15 cds, 6 dvd movies, 6 snes games, various vhs movies, 2 game gear games, 3 loose dreamcast manuals, 2 sega cd games

http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/ma/masco/dplot3.jpg

These games were part of the first lot found in the bins.

http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/ma/masco/dplot2.jpg

Last lot I got at various places. Gameboy games $.50 cents, super tecmo bowl $2, NP mags $ .25 cents each and Star wars toys $ .25 each.

http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/ma/masco/dplot4.jpg

Overall a good day for finds. I ended up spending more than I made selling, but I got a ton of stuff.

Finally the shitty Best Buy in Burbank paid off. I went in there for some other business and as I am walking I see a bunch of used NES games so I stop to look. They were all prety common so I didn't get any. But I look to the left and there are about 15 Gameboy games. They were all $8.00 or less. As I look through them I find seven games that I will buy, here they are:
Final Fantasy Adventure
Final Fantasy Legend
Final Fantasy Legend III
Tiny Toon Adv. Wacky Sports
Caesars Palace
Conkers Pocket Tales
Pokemon Silver

All except for Caesars were 5 bucks, it was $4.00

I guess someone had come in and dumped alot of games at once. There were a couple of SNES and Dreamcast games but I left them. I thought the Gameboy games were a deal.

Congrats man on the Xbox 360..but funny you would say that because I myself just entered for the 5th time last night, also won :). I can't believe I actually won something as I never have good luck but for some reason everthing was going good yesterday, winning the 360 just capped it off. I was going to buy one eventually but just not this year the Xbox 360 that is, got NFS: Most Wanted coming with it, not sure what I want to add with it..maybe Full-Auto or Test Drive maybe.
