What amazes me about me about that list is the Xbox only sold 109 units in a week. I knew the Xbox wasn't that popular in Japan, but gosh........

It's always been like that with XBox. Heck, even the Wonderswan was outselling it when it was on its last leg.

In Japan you might as well call the xbox, 3DO.

GBA - 624? This is baffling me. Does Nintendo still have stockpiles of the origional GBA in warehouses or something? I mean, the system has been discontinued for quite some time now...

I wonder if the updated SP has been released in Nippon. I firmly belive that it will cut into sells of the micro here in the States.

What's even more ironic is this number

Famicom Mini: Super Mario Bros. 20th Anniversary (GBA, Nintendo) - 187,000 units

GB Mirco + Super Mario= Gold Mine?

I guess Nintendo does know what it's doing when it comes to portables. No matter how many version and upgrades people still gobble them up

Every number on that list suprises me.
They are STILL selling 25,000 PS2s a month, and only 100 Xboxs? Thats ridiculous.
Even still, I can't beleive the numbers for the micro OR the DS are still as high as they are.

And what's ironic is that the 3DO lasted longer in Japan than it did in the US.

The Micro is in its launch-sales phase, and the DS has been doing very well in Japan. What's not to believe?

I wonder how many of those 25000 PS2 are replacements for ones that broke

It's not a bug, it's a business model?

Didn't the 3DO at least have a cult following and a bunch of exclusive games in Japan?

Only if they make it public knowledge, otherwise people won't even know the difference. They need to make a big deal of it for people to know about it. Unless you are an avid forum goer like us, most people would be none the wiser
