Just sent him this email:

TOO BAD YOU ARE ONE OF THESE PAYPAL ONLY GUYS!!! I would have put a $1200 max bid on this to start and would have gone higher if needed. When will you guys learn haw BAD paypal is? Can't wait for you to get burned on a high dallor item with paypal and then you will learn to appriciate money order customers like mysef!! I think you are really losing out on this paypal thing but I guess that is your decision to make.

(why doesn't ANYONE realize how EVIL paypal is?)

Are you serious? I used to be somewhat against Paypal as well, because I thought I would be scammed, now I ONLY use it! For starters it is free for the buyer(Money Orders cost $1), and it shows proof that you paid for the item. If you pay with credit card Paypal, there is a good chance you can get your money back if the item never arrives or arrives in bad shape.
Honestly... you really should at least open up a basic Paypal account. Even if the only time you use it is to bid on items that only accept paypal (which is why I made my account in the first place).

Some are. He goes to great detail to explain about the rear seal, and you can clearly see in some pictures if they have or haven't got it.

Is it me, or does there seem to be a load more sealed NES games on eBay these days than there ever used to be? Maybe one day all those sealed N64 games and sealed Snes games will creep out of the woodwork

I agree. Paypal is awesome for the buyer, no fees, proof of purchase, it's fairly secure and if there are any problems Paypal takes your side every time. It can be a pain in the ass for the seller, as was discussed in other posts, but for the buyer I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I'd use Paypal over a money order anyday.

Hehe 70 millions users, some bad stories. Dont fall for the propaganda. I used paypal over 250 times, smooth everytime, no problem. Maybe you are too young to have a Paypal account, is that why you hate Paypal so much? :P

Ditto. I ONLY use PayPal these days to pay for things, and get upset if people DON'T accept it. As said above, it offers protection if you get something in bad shape or not at all, and a service I haev had to call upon many a time to claim my money back. Must've saved me about £500 already at least!

Stupid seller not shipping abroad though. Again, his loss. Still, there's always ways around it if you know the right people, so that's not too much of a problem.

Agreed, PayPal is a bit stupid, especially if that Zelda does sell for over $1000, as he will no doubt get burned hard for that. Greedy PayPal. The fees are the only bad thing about it. I like to pay via PayPal as it takes very little effort, plus I don't need to wait till the post office opens the next day before I can get a postal order. Plus that's at least three days I have to wait before the game is even sent! If I use PayPal, the game is sent within hours, and I usually get the item within two days.

Only reason most people insist on PayPal only is because it is virtually untracable. If this guy was getting this amount of cheques paid in, he'd get caught by the IRS or something, so at least this way he can mak the money covertly, then perhaps use it again online to pay for other goods.

Makes you wonder where he got all these though. It's one hell of a collection to be selling if he has spent all this time collecting. Hopefully oen day my sealed DC games will be worth a fortune, but i'd never sell them.

I wanna bid on all of them, but really can't be bothered. I'll just bid on the ones which really interest me.

Anyone else notice the sky-high postage fees? Combined shipping fees thankfully! Don't qute like how he damands payment within 72 hours though...

Guys, this thread is about sealed NES games. Is there some reason it is being derailed by yet another Paypal Sux argument?

There's too many threads about sealed NES games already, I'd rather hear about Paypal. :P

Besides this seller has already been discussed, and the original purchase of the bulk lot from Hawaii a few months back. It's been run into the ground already. This thread should be locked & the link posted to that huge thread continued on.

Now regarding TEXASGAMEPLAYER's email to the seller, I think you sir are retarded. Realize please that ebay itself is evil as you call it, yet you are not giving up ebay are you? They are under the same ownership. And I've seen just as many problems out of ebay itself as I have from people complaining about paypal. If you want to stand behind your convictions, then you should be boycotting ebay as well. Buy your games from the thrift shops from now on, and stop bitching about these evil online companies & sellers who won't deal with you.

I emailed him asking if he would allow for Canadian bidders. He 's missing a fiar chunck of the market by not allowing international bidders and only excepting Paypal :(

I think the seller is just trying to portect himself and sell the lot with minimal fuss and hassle. Hence, the only PayPal accepted and US only.

I'd also think this might be a scam, but since others here are willing to vouch for him, I won't even bring up that topic. :)

I also suspect if a good EBay'er sent him a E-mail asking him if he would consider shipping out of the country and/or taking another payment mehod he may very accept it as long as you are willing to pay a little extra.

Yeah, as a seller myself, I think it's stupid if you would ONLY accept PAYPAL.
But maybe this guy needs the money ASAP, so can't afford to wait a week or whatever for the cash or money order to get to them?
But I will say that the last 100 items I have sold, probably around 95 of them paid with paypal. PAYPAL is great in my opinion. If you don't use it, you should!

WHOA!!!!!!!! Holy shit, that is amazing, I would be in heaven with that lot!!

But what does this lot have anything to do with this other guys auctions that is in this thread.
Are you saying that the guy that won the lot for $13,500, is the same seller re-selling the games? Did he change is user id, cause it not the same.

I doubt very much that this seller is trying to scam. Three pages full of very convincing auctions. That's a little too much trouble. It's obviously taken them this long to write all those auctions out and list them!

I also think that people who can't use eBay and / or PayPal properly are indeed the retarded ones. We all know of all these "Horror" stories about people who get caught up in scams etc... Well, to be honest, half of them are retards anyway and shouldn't be allowed near a computer, let alone on eBay. Just have to see how many zero bidders who cause problems there are to know that.

Saying that, I have been caught out once or twice, and I consider myself to be a very experienced eBayer. But, I educate myself in these sorts of things, and seriously can't understand why so many people have so many problems with eBay and / or PayPal.

If you took away all the dumbass Hong Kong sellers; 13
year old scammers; Nigerians; and basically people who don't know how to use a computer ~ eBay would be dead!

And I can't believe how dumb and naive some people are in the world. That goes for sellers AND buyers alike.

Basically, peple should learn how to use these "tools" properly before whinging about how they basically suck at using them. I would guess that pretty much most PayPal users don't even realise half of the benefit's that it has, such as buyer protection and the like. Which is the sole reason we get so many threads on here saying things like "I got scammed, and lost all my money because I suck" etc...

As for the guy that bouht the package... Who says you have to stick with one username? I have about half a dozen I use for different things. One I use solely for buying, another I use solely for selling Etc...

And I would guess that that package was bought and the person kept a load of games for their collection, and is just selling off anything they don't want to keep. It's exactly what I do with my Dreamcast collection ~ I buy a package, keep the games I want, then sell the rest off to recoup a portion of the money I spent.

Everyone should read THIS THREAD (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=65870) before commenting on the seller in discussion.

Original lot was ended on BIN to a member here, Bronty-2 under a different name, but the seller did not sell to Bronty after the auction ended.

It is rumored that this seller, vintagevgs actually ended up with the lot, due to the high number of games that were available in that lot, this seller is now offering on ebay. They also have little stickers on them, some of them do anyway, that can be seen in the original auction. It's the same lot of games, every one of the titles he has auctioned off so far, were part of that huge stash found in Hawaii. And the pictures seem to verify this.

How much he ultimately paid for the lot is unknown.

Whether he'll end up profiting off the lot, I think is still an unknown.

One thing's for certain, this seller is wasting little time getting these up on ebay to sell. With so many of the same exact titles being offered over & over, you are seeing some very high & very low prices for the exact same games.

I still think sealed game collectors are crazy! :P

For starters it is free for the buyer(Money Orders cost $1), and it shows proof that you paid for the item.

No, it's not free, the seller is responsible for paying those fees. There is a difference. Also, it's also way too easy for the buyer to get they money back from a seller if they pay with PayPal. It's just not worth the headaches, the fees and the risk to many sellers.

And for those people who say that it's not much money and no big deal I ask how would you feel if I added an extra $.50 to $3.00 as a "handling charges" whenever you buy something from me and pay with PayPal. I bet you'd stop using PayPal after a while.

And this effects buyers how?

Sure it costs the seller, and the seller is more at risk to chargebacks. But I don't see how that effects the buyers..

You can argue that some sellers are going to pass on their fees, which amounts to higher S&H charges, but honestly, you're gonna see more sellers are charging this anyway, regardless of the form of payment you use to pay them with. (I rarely see sellers offering a discount for non-paypal sourced payments) so in the end ALL users pay, whether they send a postal money order or use paypal.

It is free for buyers
It is safer for buyers, & easy to file chargebacks
And it is more convenient

I think an argument can also be made, that paypal auctions are going to attract more bidders. Since it is such a widely used method, and it's a quick & easy way to pay. I find myself rarely bidding on auctions that do not accept paypal. Just too much trouble having to drive down to the post to get a money order, & having to wait on it to arrive.

Whether I bid on a paypal accepted auction or not, & whether the seller is charging fees in his handling does not effect me. When I view an auction and place a bid based off what I'm willing to pay, the S&H charges are calculated into that.

Argh I am pissed off the seller wont ship outside the US. Well...he wont make a good amount of dough that way. I guess no bids from me then. Damn it!!!

I hope he loses a good amount of money because of this.

Shipping Areas : ABSOLUTELY NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, USA ONLY!

Not a scam for the reasons previously discussed. Actually, as it turns out, I know the buyer from before. Solid guy and totally trustworthty. He'll still make a good profit but not the insane profit he would have made if there hadn't been so many reseals in the lot..

I agree with you bro. I accept Paypal and Money orders. I havent had any problems with Paypal...but I have been fucked over many times with a money order. So...I prefer paypal...but still accept money orders. I wont send out money orders of high amounts anymore. Too many scammers. Fuck that!!!
