SHENMUE I wasnt sure about this game there were those that luved it and those that hated it but I simply had to experience it for myself since yu suzuki had put sooo much effort, time and especially segas money into the project.

I turned out to be one of those that luved it and I truly believe that shenmue was a revolution in gaming all on its own proof enough is the fact that newer blockbuster games use many of the very same elements that yuji naka created with shenmue like quick time events that were used to great success in resident evil 4

The game was but a glimpse of the true vision that Yu Suzuki was trying to convey to the gamer and I hope will someday be fully realized on one of the newer Next-gen systems

Im thinking nintendos revolution would be a great choice for shenmue 3 and could be a melding of two of the most visionary and inlfuencial game designers/directors/producers in the world naka and miyamoto

can you imagine what suzuki and Miyamoto could accomplish with the Revolution and Shenmue 3? it would be a TRUE REVOLUTION!

the Revos controller could be used to react to quick time events in a way that no other console could do and interact within the environment in ways that yu Suzuki could have only Dreamed (pun intended) when he started developing and designing Shenmue on Saturn-YES it was originally a Saturn project that pushed the Saturn faaar beyond the limits that were initially thought graphically

Quick time events like when a gang member tried to attack you would benefit greatly with the interactivity of the Revos controller you could react to falling crates with a jump to the left or right all the while running at full speed you could open drawers and closets as you search through the house for items the possibilities are endless

any gamer that has actually played Shenmue can see how this game series would be a perfect choice for the Revolution and would most likely use any and every aspect that the Revos controller could muster with its advanced motion detectors and tilt sensitivity etc

Hell even driving the forklift at work would be a perfect fit for the Revos analog setup

Hey man, I love Shenmue, one of my favourite games, and I love Nintendo. I also love the prospect of Revolution, so this would be a dream come true for me.

If the rumour that Shenmue 3 was coming to an end and Sega was looking for a console host is true, I damn well hope that Nintendo sold the Revolution controller like you just did!

I think the controller would be ideal of the game... wow, I can imagine how much MORE fun it would be playing it now...

Hope Sega realizes this potential..

Neat idea, but I seriously doubt that Sega would invest in another Shenmue project. Things might be different if Nintendo financies the project on behalf of Sega, however. Shenmue 3 would make for quite the killer ap

I feel that Shenmue is the equavalent of a douple-dose of valium and that Nintendo would be wise to steer clear of the sleep-inducing series.

Could you imagine. A box set with Shenmue 1 and 2 and the true REVOLUTION that would be Shenmue 3. Big 'ol collectors package. With a free forklift!

i DONT want to start a fight here...but when i played Shenmue..i dunno...i was bored :|...going to work on the forklifts for a bunch of times in a row wasn't exactly fun. I really wanna know what the appeal is, maybe it will open my eyes or something...i didnt think it sucked though, I guess i needed to play it when it first came out

I would be happy with Shenmue continued on ANY system... yes, the game had it's boring (VERY boring) stretches, but it certainly got me hooked into its world and the story.

My heart broke when it started to look like they weren't going to finish the series.

If the revolution is really not going to support High Definition, then Shenmue does not need to make an appearance on it. Lifelike detail was it's main selling point, and would likely need to be again.

When the controller for Revolution was first revealed, and I got to thinking about what types of existing games would be cool on the system, Shenmue was one of the first games that came to my mind. I really like the series, and would love to see it completed.
