I managed to get ahold of two interesting Game Boy carts today. One of them is DIS-CGB-ADME-USA (a demo cart, listed on the Digitpress rarity guide as R8) and a white cart with seven numbered gray boxes with an official Nintendo copyright (1999) and the part number DMG-MMSA-JPN.
I know that Nintendo (in Japan) was big on having 'kiosks' available where you could go to get a cart (be it GB, SNES, NES, etc) flashed officially much in the same way you'd go and buy a can of pop (i.e. pop your official flash cart in, select 'Tetris' from a menu, pay your $2.00, and have it flashed) I assume that this is one of those carts, however, it's not listed in the Digitpress rarity guide at all. While I understand that the rarity on this item will likely be R0 (how can you quantify how many of these were made in a foreign country) I was curious about any reasons why this wasn't listed.
I did a search on the forums and couldn't find anything, and a search online only seems to bring up a Japanese site selling these carts for $25.00 each.
Any further insight would be appreciated :)
