I really want to get a copy of SF3. I have a PS2 and a DC but so far I haven't gotten a definative answer on which version is closer to the arcade. I have heard that the DC version is more accurate due to the fact the PS2 version looks "blurry" a bit. Would that be a problem on my component video out setup? Also, what version has shorter load times? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

PS2 is more accurate to Arcade.
Dreamcast version was shunned by the fighting game community for it's inaccuracy.
PS2 version is pretty much the same, there's even an option to play a mode without glitches(unblockables etc).
PS2 version was also used for EVOLUTION 2005 the world fighting game championships this year in Las Vegas.

DC one has problems with input lag, incorrect damage on certain moves, and unblockable set ups not working. The PS2 has none of these issues.
So, go for the PS2. Or xbox.

How about graphically and loading times?

If you really like the game, my answer is get both and decide for yourself. I find that, especially with fighting games, the more popular version is not the one I would choose. I'll take someone else's word for it if it's a game I don't care about, but if it's something I really want to play I get both and trade or sell the lesser version. It's not as if it would be cost prohibitive to do so, I believe the DC version has come down in price.
Oh, in this case I would pick the DC version for collectability, and I can play it with my Saturn controllers.

I noticed no difference in terms of graphics between the two. I know the PS2 one has the arcade and dreamcast soundtracks, as well.
As for load times, I know the PS2 takes longer to boot up, simply because you have to pick the menu between SF2 and SF3.

You're all forgetting one thing the Dreamcast has that the PS2 does not...The official Agetec/Sega arcade stick.

You're forgetting that Hori makes awesome sticks for the PS2, Sega has released the Saturn controller for the PS2, and that Nuby has those ASCII Fighter Pad FT Pro-like pads for the PS2.
tl;dr - there's no reason to not get the PS2 version :)

I still prefer the DC version, but capcom fighting games just beg to be played on a Sega1 8-)

I have both, but the PS2 version has ALL the frames, just like the CPSIII, so that means you can do the Urien's infinity or the unblockable. Although PS2 version is just damn close to be arcade perfect, they corrected some timings and now some glitches are no longer working, but some of them are, like Remy's charge partitioning for the Light of Virtue and Makoto's instant K.O. over Akuma.
MY sugestion? If you want to get deep into the game, get PS2 version but if you don't mind all that stuff I mentioned above a DC version is suitable, it don't means that DC version is crap, it is just misses some frames.

Same here I had the Streetfighter collection but sold it  dont ask me why it was after a break-up with my GF and I was drinking A LOT :drinking:
I still have my beloved Dreamcast version though and have always preferred 2-D fighters on DC over any other system well DC and Saturn
The DC version is great also but the PS2 version is just a bit better but I honestly couldnt tell much of a difference although I may be biased since I luv the DC so much
I know that the DC version is getting more difficult to find and I personally havent seen a copy in any stores for over 2 years

Get the ps2 version, my buddies are all obscesed with this game and they all bought custom arcade sticks which really kick ass, anyhow, this game is incredibly addicting and in my opinion the best 2D fighter ever made
Like many have already said, get the PS2 version.
