So here ya go.

In all seriousness. She looks a little doped up, hung over or just tired. I think the previous model(s) looked better.

I would rate them Janice - Ariel then Nikkita

not that anyone asked for my opinion. Keep up the good work Joe!

60% of American women are overweight. It's nice to see a thin, healthy woman for a change!

But, she really does need to smile. A smile can make even an average-looking woman appear gorgeous. Like these:

The MAJORITY of Americans are overweight today. Last I checked, the majority rules, so you'd better learn to accept the lifestyle rather than ridicule it.

In theory. But lets face it, if people believed fat was beautiful, then there would be far more fat people advertising lip gloss and whatnot. Humans aren't meant to be naturally obese, the majority aren't born like that, it's just western culture that has caused it. However, I have no problem with obese people, usually they are some of the nicest people you can meet, what I have a problem with is obese people who get upset when people mention their weight. There is something they can do about it, and if they don't do it it's their own fault.

There is something they can do about it, and if they don't do it it's their own fault.

Actually, there are studies that show that there are two kinds of fat, white fat & brown fat. The white fat can be easily shed, the brown fat cannot. Therefore, if you're born with a preponderance of brown fat, you're destined for a life of obesity. Moreso, other studies have shown that people's metabolisms "settle" at a particular equilibrium, and where that equilibrium is determines your weight (oversimplifying here). That study found that the metabolims of people who lost weight slowed down, making it harder to keep off the weight, let alone take more off (and the reverse was also true; metabolisms of people trying to gain weight sped up to keep the weight off). So you see, they may or may NOT be able to actually do anything about it.

Also, you claim it's a thing with western culture, but there were African cultures where the obese people were seen as more beautiful, and more healthy.

On the other hand, morbid obesity strikes me as a wholly American phenomenon...

Ehn, but then again, they don't sit around all the time and if you're skinny, sure, they'll try to fatten you up, but it's not like they hold it against you or anything. The reason why they prefer being "healthy" is something about reminding them of the hunger and pain they suffered when they were starving. They don't sit around behind computers, or television sets, or video games, so really, it's not fat that causes them to be overweight, but mostly muscle considering the chores being done and the celebrating and whatnot (I watch a lot of Discovery Channel, read National Geographic, and essays written by people on the topic :D)

Here, people generally don't take care of themselves. We have television, so why take a walk outside to see how the weather is? We have computers to look at pictures, so why travel or go hiking? We have video games, so why go play a game of street hockey, or go figure skating? Overtime, that builds up on you. So really, the two cannot be compared. ^^;

And yes, you can help yourself. Some people may not be able to fit into a size 0, or a size 3 or something if they're a size 13, but there is no reason for people who are overweight, or anybody for that matter, to not take care of themselves by going for a walk and eating properly. People are people. ^_^;;

I agree with alot of people here, although some people can not help there weight lots of people can. It just that are culture has gotten so LAZY. I am only 16 so I have lots of time to go where I could gain weight but I prefer to stay healthy. I always walk to and from school as well as down to the Salvation Army where I do my volunteer work (good 2 mile walk at least one way) I cycle alot (put on over 1000 km in August alone, I think that is roughly 600 miles) As well as doing rugby, we do suicides you would never even dream of (in a nightmare) I also work out for an hour and a half every tuesday and thursday and do some other weights everynow and then. And I snowboard in the winter. I always have found time for exercise as I feel that it is very important!

Back to the Topic though Nikkita you are very beautiful and I wish you the best of luck!

So how old are you? How do you feel about a 29-yr-old guy who is thin, healthy, intelligent, wealthy, very friendly, and enjoys candle-lit matches of TimeSplitters Deathmatch? LOL

My favorite channels are History, Discovery, and Animal Planet too. I think I saw the special you were talking about. Thin single women spend a whole year gorging themselves with food to become round and plump. The reason has nothing to do with beauty. It's wealth. The groom figures if parents can support such a large, overweight than they must be rich... and he gets a piece of that wealth.

America/Europe has a similar practice in the late 1800s. Fat = Wealth. A man or woman preferred to marry someone who was overweight and therefore well-off than a thin laborer struggling to survive. Thankfully that preference for fat died out.

gamingguy
01-31-2003, 09:26 AM
P.S. There's more to fat people than just "not beautiful" because they are also "not healthy." [in general...for healthy people without other debilitating diseases.] If you choose an overweight person for your husband/wife, you may find yourself at age 50 standing in a hospital emergency room while the doctors struggle to bring your spouse back-to-life from their fat-induced heart attack. Having a thin, healthy spouse is certainly preferable to that heart attack horror.

As for staying thin, it's not hard if you limit your intake. My daily meal looks something like this: Breakfast-Cereal/Lunch-Sandwich/Dinner-2 Slices of Pizza. Not a lot, but then I don't need a lot.

And finally, someone said "Nikkita is all bones...she needs to put on some meat." I suspect if a doctor looked at Nikkita, they'd say she is perfectly healthy...at her ideal weight. It's just that we Americans are so used to seeing overweight people that we don't recognize a healthy weight when it's right in front of us.

There was a reality special on PBS about a modern family trying to survive in a 1800s-era Montana cabin. One of the men was concerned because he lost a lot of weight, and he thought being able to see his ribcage was a sign of poor health. So, he called in a doctor. The doctor took one look at him and said, "Nothing wrong with you. You were fat before. And now you're lean and mean. You are at the perfect weight."

The man had been fat for so long that he didn't recognize a healthy weight when he saw it. The same is true for Nikkita. Some of you have said she is "too thin" but the truth is that she is at her IDEAL WEIGHT. You guys are just so used to seeing overweight Americans that you don't recognize a healthy young woman when you see her.

I'm going to agree with Chocobokick on this one. I know Nikkita's art work draws in some praise, but not nearly as much hoot and hollar as when she posts pictures of herself.

On another note:

As for "thin always = healthy", when I was 90 pounds and you could count every rib in my ribcage, the doctor told me to put on weight. So there's a point where someone will get told to put on weight. And just because you're overweight, doesn't mean you will have a heart attack. I'm sure there are some guys who DON'T want to marry perfect supermodels. If you are marrying by how a person looks, I feel really sorry for you.

Just face it, some walks of life are naturally big boned because of their ancestory. A friend of mine couldn't shed a pound, no matter how much she worked out or how many calories she counted.

Ever see the movie "shallow Hal" ...

... Never gonna happen ...

Men can be fat and it's considered distincted, single women who are fat are going to live very lonely lives. You see it everyday, women who never got married and fell in love with food. They work their jobs and go home to 3 cats and a pint of ice cream. People describe them as "happy." Most of them get so lonely they end up either married to a man who is a job challanged alcoholic/drug addict or they go to the dark side and sleep with other women. They are the reason I don't go on blind dates anymore..

About the "thin = healthy/heart attack" bit -- I will have to disagree.

The number one cause for death among tiny people (who should not be tiny) is indeed a heart attack. Your body generally isn't getting the food it should be. Being small all your life, you're too scared to become "fat", so you cut down a little. This also comes with people saying "Watch out, or you'll end up like your mother!" -_- Anyway, it's a strain on your heart (because it is, after all, a muscle) and then it just.... stops.

90 lbs could mean different things for everybody. 90 lbs could mean "you can see all my rip cages" or 90lbs could mean "i have scrawny chicken legs".

I'm little less than 100. Generally, between 95 - 98lbs, but you know, I am also 5'4 and I run around and spazz a lot too. I also take care of myself, as well. If you're thin and starving yourself, it's noticeable, however, if you're thin and making an effort on your body, it shows. You don't have dark spots under your eyes, you're not dizzy, you're not unmotivated, anti-social, depressed, headaches, etc...

Same goes for overweight people. You can tell if they're taking care of themselves or not. It shows in their personality, it shows in their smile, in their faces and with the way they present themselves.

It's not just appearances. Yes, personality makes all the difference in the world. I wish people would see that rather than just categorizing people as "fat or skinny". =/

Let me tell you, some people have trouble losing weight, but I can't gain any...sucks ass. I weigh less then most people i know, including women, and it's natural. Course I'm not about to starve myself, I just try to exercise and put on muscle, figure that's the only way I'm gonna get anything.

Gamingguy, you can take a one way ticket to Hell. I'll pay for you, first class. Pack light and don't worry about a toothbrush.

My wife is fat. She's been born that way and has been that way for her whole life of 29 years thus far. She's worked jobs that are a helluva lot more strenuous than I ever had (factory, cleaning jobs-lots of moving about) and she doesn't "eat to excess".

And just because a person is fat doesn't mean that it's all gonna end quick in some "heart attack tragedy". A friend of mine: a good looking, thin, red head gal with two kids but you'd swear you couldn't tell on her. Diabetic. My ex's best friend. Decent looking, shy but funny and intelligent once you got to know her. Has Lupis (sp?). My Dad. Energetic man, hardly any fat on his body. Heart Attack (even though he smoked for like ever-it wasn't the cause. And he's out lived most of his friends thus far). Looking at these people, you'd never know. And who are you to judge who is or is not the "preferable" mate? For the few girls I dated-even the skinny ones I oogled after, my wife won. A relationship goes beyond physical appearance and sometimes even health. A friend of the family's sister was struck with a crippling disease (can't think of the name) that confined her to a wheel chair. Could barely move, couldn't talk-except for her eyes. She met a man, who fell in love with her spirit, her love of life-without her saying a word. It was doomed to not last long for sure, but love is a strange thing. Obviously you haven't experienced it, otherwise you wouldn't be giving a minor some of your personal stats. What, no long walks along the beach?

Oh by the way-my wife had her blood tested today for a health program. Cholesterol and all that other bad stuff is low, surprising the doctor. Not bad for a fat person, eh?

gamingguy
01-31-2003, 08:22 PM
You guys are taking offense way too easily. What I said is no different than what you hear *doctors* saying on national news. Overwieght people have more fat, more clogged arteries, and more heart disease. Should the doctors "go to hell" too?

Please. What I said about overweight people was not offensive. It's no different than saying "smokers will likely die of lung cancer"... I was just quoting common knowledge.

I am fat. Do I eat un-healthy? SOMETIMES.
Am I lazy? No.

Where did I say "fat people are lazy"? Where did I say that? Please provide a quote. Thank you.

Let's see... I was stuck in the hospital for a week because they "thought" I was anorexic.... and When I got there, there was a girl who had anorexia and she was on the verge of "getting better" when she croaked of a heart attack because she had decided to exercise the little food she had started to eat off.

Yes, the truth is, people who diet down to become skinny when they SHOULD NOT be (which is what I meant when I said: "The number one cause for death among tiny people (who should not be tiny) is indeed a heart attack". Well, there is a heart attack, and there is also failure of other organs, but it's generally the heart to go first since it is weakened

It also happens when you gain/lose weight too fast, or if you keep growing. Your heart cannot cope, so it gives out. With any luck, my biological father will be put out of his misery by that way (he has gigantism or whatever so he doesn't stop growing). ^_^V

You see, cutting down on calories and etc can be good. In little doses. But then again, everything is good for you in little doses. But when you start really cutting back, then it becomes very bad for you.

I suppose it's time I lend my insight and wisdom to this thread. Who would have known? I was just introducing a new lady to our model pages.

Anyway, YES. YES, gaining weight too fast is very bad. And gaining HEIGHT is equally bad if not worse. In any case, you're sure to cause trouble and die a horrible, tragic, sudden, death.

My point was that someone said "Nikkita's too thin," and I disagreed with that. I thought you looked like the ideal weight for healthy living. Does you doctor think you're too thin or too fat?

Well, it depends on the doctor really. ^^; Some think I am "dangerously underweight". Same with my family members -- my Lola says I am too skinny, and she tries to fatten me with yummy philipino food. :D But it doesn't work. ^^; But then there are some doctor's who say I am "perfect".

It really all depends. ^^; It's not something you can say "too fat, too thin" :)

My mom used to worry that I was too thin as a teenager because she could see my ribs through my skin, but my 'ole' country doctor' would just laugh and say, "Don't worry, he'll fill out when he's older." And he was right! When I hit 25, I stopped growing up and started growing out. :-D

I'm now 5'6" and try to maintain 120 pound weight (same as college). All the weight charts I've seen show that to be the best poundage.

P.S. I want a Filipino for my wife. Or Korean. Or Chinese. Or Japanese. Basically anything in the Asian category with beautiful hair and a natural tan. Yep. LOL

What, is she part of some genetic engineering program that DP Industries is running?

Actually, your ideal weight for your height should be 130-143 lbs. It varies slightly per site (last site I checked was healthchecksystems.com, they break it down by frame size-small frame starts at 136).
