So I was bored at work and decided to add the Action Max system to my website. Cruising around the internet and searching these forums I couldn't find all that much on it other than the few games that are in the rarity database...so in keeping with the vision of VGRebirth, I am looking for pointless data that no one else lists:
http://vgrebirth.org/games/search.asp?platforms=49
Do the VHS tapes have barcodes?
Item Numbers?
Did Worlds of Wonder "develop" the tapes or did they simply publish them...are there credits given to a studio perhaps?
Number of players? One I'm assuming...
Were they given a rating? G, PG, like movies?
Anyone have scans of the boxes? (front, back)
Screen grabs?
if anyone can help out with the details and if you have a profile at VGR, I will gladly give appropriate contributor credit for the help. 8-)

1. Some have barcodes..
2. One of my games here has a number under the bar code, though I do not know that it is an item number
3. Prodused by CCR Video Corporation, 1987 Sourcing International Ltd....not sure what to conclude from this...
4. I think it's two players, alternating not simultaneous. Console has a toggle switch for second player.
5. No obvious rating on Game or Box, perhaps if I put one in the VCR it'll show up....
Trebuken...that's what I got handy...

If you are looking for box pics, I've got a couple I posted in my FS thread in the selling forum:

All my tapes besides Sonic Fury has bar codes on them.

Any chance in getting the barcode & Item number info?
I think CCR made the video...Sourcing International is probably the parent company of Worlds of Wonder.
I'd be curious how the 2nd Player works...does it maintain scoring somehow?

Dug It out of the closet...let's see what I got...
Action Max (UNIT) - UPC# 083546037006 (12 digit, last is often dropped), Additional number - 711100-00 IN#2 360372-00
From back of the box:
"The Base Unit is a sleek central unit which connects you to the action. Simple controls let you change game play, dial up the volume, and keep track of the scores for two players."
"Stereo headphones put you in the middle of the action. Not only will you hear stereo sound track and characters talking to you, you'll also hear the firing of your game pistol, "target hit", and shot ricochets. The Game Pistol is specially designed for fast action target skills. The optical sensor registers shots with precision and is capable of instant fire to challenge your reflexes".
1. Sonic Fury has no UPC or Part Number on it...
2. Hydrosub: 2021 UPC 083546037013, IN 711200-00 IN#2 420404-00
3. .38 Ambush Alley UPC 083546037037 IN 711202-00 IN#2 420406-00
4. The Rescua of Pops Ghostly UPC 083546037020 IN 711201-00 IN#2 420405-00
I believe that there are only two more VHS'. Just now noticing I don'y have an AC adapter for this, and will need generic headphones, but it uses a 9v adapter so I should have something that matches that (Genesis or Turbo Grafx maybe???)
All I can get you for now...

Mmmmmmm, from what I can remember regarding playing with two players is that once player one finished the score on the console would turn back to zero then after player two finished it would just flash the two scores one after another.

Well since the console supports two players I'll officially consider the titles to be "for 2 players"
I've incorporated all of the above info into the listings at VGR...thanks for the support guys & gals :)

I like how every box has the same picture of the kid shooting and just the picture on the TV changes.
(Stupid Internet question) Why does the VGRebirth site hijack my browser so that hitting "Back" or using the dropdown "Back" menu to return to DP both send me to the VGR homepage? It's Annoying.

We have code in place to prevent the site from existing in a frame...I changed the banner to now launch the instance in a new window...no more inadvertant browser hijacking.
