So I downloaded the demo for this game today. You can grab it here http://www.fileplanet.com (365 meg file).
So at 10:30am I installed it and started playing. After 3 hours I looked up and said holy crap I've been playing for 3 hours straight! This brought back good memories from AOE 1 & 2 when the same thing happened.
Now I have a brand new Alienware P4 3.73EEghz 1066FSB computer running the very best GeForce 7800 GTX 256mb
card and 2 gig of ram so it's fully loaded. On my machine every little detail can be seen in AOE3 such as leaves falling off trees and the boards of the ship decks etc. Simply amazing graphics. The ship detail is awesome and worth downloading this demo for.
AOE3 plays similar to the other AOE games with many little improvements giving you alot of different ways to work. I was worried that adding alot of gun units would ruin the series from it's melee unit days. Not so and they have seemlessly worked in the new units. This game was 1 of the upcoming PC titles that I upgraded my machine for and I can't wait til it comes out. Grab this demo and lets hear more thoughts. :-P
