So, what programs or services are you guys currently using for sniping ebay auctions?

Well, I don't use it, most of the people just open up a seperate window where they only have to click one button to bid so they can bid with like 2 seconds left.

The problem is that many auctions end in the middle of the night.

Auctionsniper here. Normally I do it all manually, but if it finishes in the middle of the night or whilst I'm on holiday... then it takes care of things.

I use Auction Sentry.

I enter my absolute maximum bid when I place my initial bid. :hmm:

I dont have to worry about snipers, if they wanna pay more then go ahead. A lot of n00bs bid through the roof.

Works like a charm and hasn't failed me yet.

SnipeRight. By far the best auction sniping program of the lot. You enter your bids into a program installed on your computer, and then it also logs them with an online server. So even if you don't have your computer on, it'll snipe for you. It's also very fast, has an easy to use interface, and features a built in browser.

For $20, it's a steal.

I use bidnip.com. You only pay for their service when you win an item. The first 5 wins are free and then only 25 cents after that. It's a great service, certainly better than the 1% services out there. They have a referral service too so that an additional 5 frees can be gained everytime a referral joins.

I use esnipe. I must admit I was too lazy to do the research on free sniping services so I just searched it on google and went with the first one.

I don't use any sniping software. I guess I may not buy as much stuff on Ebay as others but I just don't really see the point. If I bid on something and am overbid, I'll put my final bid in as close to the end of the auction as possible to try to avoid a bidding war. I snipe once in awhile if I'm going to be home and awake at the time the auction ends. But I don't live and die by the auction.

I do it manually. If the auction ends in the middle of the night, then I either stay up, or set my alarm to wake me up. If the auction ends while I'm at work...then I just bid my max bid before I leave and cross my fingers.

I also use Auction Sentry. I only had problems with it in the beginning when my computer would go on standby. I've disabled standby and now it places every bid.

I have nothing but good things to say about AuctionSniper. I rarely use them (because I rarely am bidding on things now...) but I have found that if it is a semi-rare / rare item I'm going for, instead of worrying about it and second-guessing myself, it is much easier to just decide what I'm doing and then ignore it and see what happens. I've used it to get a few of my grails like my minty copy of Sonic Adventure: LE for the Dreamcast when I was willing to spend much more money than I thought it would sell for, but didn't want to see how much I had spent until after the auction was over.

Their import wizard is awesome, and their prices are fair. I would heartily recommend them -- if nothing else, you can try them out for five snipes for free, and then if you don't like them you don't ever need to pay. That's what I did for stuff like Sonic Adventure LE.

If anyone wants to be really nice and add me as their reference so I get some extra free snipes too, I'm goatdan on eBay and auctionsniper too :)

I'm mostly a last minute fart cause it almost always work. The draw backs is if that person placed a pretty high max bid, then your screwed at the end.

I just set my alarm clock if It's going to end late, and if I'm at work I'll tell someone to bid for me like my sis, or I just set my max bid.

Real snipers bid their max bid and don't really snipe at all.

Mercenaries sniping the enemy sniper works well, too.
