Retro wallpapers 4 desktop

anyone knows of any sites with good quality retro wallpapers?
that is anything 16-bit and down...

On the net you can find tons of stuff to make your desktop game related but it is mostly stuff from Playstation 1 generation and going UP

I want me a cool SNES, NES, or even Atari related wallpaper.... not to say that i didn't find any... but those that i found were really really poorly made - possibly made back in the day (late 90's that is) and still just hanging on the net.

so...anyone knows?

I just take a screenshot and use it as a background. I found it to be a lot easier than trying to find actual wallpapers for the desktop. You can generally find really nice backgrounds if you are looking for a specific character though. Such as a google of 'megaman' will show. Most of them are artistic renditions, but as far as sprites go, It's just plain easier to make your own.

A good idea would be for you to create a website that has TONS of them.

That way I could stop looking ;)
