Food Fight/Red Baron Joystick - Any Repro's??

I'm in the middle of a project that has the same joystick as Food Fight and Red Baron. True to form, one of the linkages between the joystick and pots is broken. Before I try to rig up something, I thought I'd see if anybody knows of any repro parts that have been done for these.

I don't believe so... if you go over to the forums at KLOV.com and do a search, there's been a lot of talk about those joysticks recently, and I think the best anyone has found was a new joystick from happ for $130 which has a bat handle or something on it (and then I guess swap handles with the original). But $130 is pretty expensive for a stupid joystick :P .

I've seen the post at KLOV. I was really excited about the Happ replacements, till I saw the price. Needless to say I won't be ordering those unless I really have to!

I'm lucky in that all of the parts are there, just the linkage is broken. I'm going to go talk to my car stereo installer buddy (who happens to be good at working with aluminum and plexi) to see if he can fab something up for me. Worst case, I guess I can find a place with a CNC machine to repro one of the good ones. Can't be that expensive, right??!! O_O O_O

Yeah, I've never had to deal with one of them, but I was thinking that if I ever did, I'd contact some place to fabricate a bunch and sell them to the many people that need the parts. Do you have any pics of what the piece is that needs replaced? Maybe I could give you a few ideas for repro'ing it.

I haven't gotten any pics yet. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how the control panel is connected to the cab. As soon as I can get to the entire joystick, I'll snap some pics. I'm sure something can be done, but not quite sure what.
