FA: THAYER'S QUEST Laserdisc for RDI HALCYON Home System

Here is an extremely rare RDI HALCYON home version of Thayers Quest laserdisc. This version of Thayer's Quest was originally planned to be for the Halcyon Home System. Shortly after, RDI was facing serious financial trouble when the Halcyon Systems weren't selling To raise some cash, RDI started shipping Thayer's Quest as a conversion kit for Dragon's Lair arcade cabinets. The founder of RDI, Rick Dyer, was the man directly responsible for Dragon's Lair and Space Ace. Thayer's Quest was unlike any other arcade game of that time. For the controls, it used a membrane keypad rather than a joystick and buttons. Thayer's Quest was one of two games released for the Halcyon System. Since the Halcyon version of Thayer's Quest used a double sided laser disc, there were many more scenes shown that were not included in the arcade release of Thayer's Quest. it sucks that it's in poor shape but it will still probably go for a fair bit of money. the other game for the halycon was bin'd for $100 awhile back.
