You guys have the big kahuna in Las Vegas, then you Easterners get a nice package in Philly every year. What the heck does the midwest do?

Being in Indiana, I'm pretty dang far from either of those, especially since I won't fly. Isn't there something big like CGE in Chicago or anything? Or Indy? I know Vegas has got to be fun guys, but Chicago aint no joke either.

There's JagFest in St. Louis, but we almost need two midwest shows - one for the rust belt and one for the southern states (i.e. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, etc.).

Maybe CGE needs to hit the road and become a traveling video game circus. :D

Wizard world and anime central in chicago.

No love on the video game front. But we do get Beatlefest, if you're into that...

(BTW, Gunstar, I'm from Indianapolis, to answer from another thread. That's why you haven't seen me around up there :))

there is Cinciclassic ...in Cincinnati :P www.cinciclassic.com

I know that Cleveland also has a rather small show as well (I need to get to that one this year...)

Can't wait to go to GenCon in Indy...not a video game show, but still going to be a good time!!!

I'm from St. Louis, I didn't go to jagfest, from what I heard though , I didn't miss much...It would be nice to have a good game show like the ones I keep hearing about....I''m seriously considering going to CGE in Vegas.

Indiana to Philly is only 1 day's drive. I know 'cause I've done it several times. You could leave on Friday, play games all day Saturday/Sunday, and then go home on Monday.

Just a suggestion.

Where can I find out about the Cleveland show? Also, that Cinciclassic link is dead right now.

Doesn't Goat Store sponsor a Midwest show? I heard there was one in Milwaukee, WI (no big deal for me, may still be a big deal for others).

Don't forget the CHI-TOWN CLASSIC!

It's not an Expo but it's at least as BIG as JagFest. If you're in the Chicago area PM me and I'll get you connected for next year's gathering.

Here's more about last September's event:

Yes, we are worth the drive. The Midwest Classic is scheduled for June
7th this year. Pics from last year's event can be seen here (http://www.goatstore.com/midclassic2002.htm).

We have a large contingent of homebrew developers (2600 through the Dreamcast) attending this year as well a sizeable pinball area that's being sponsored by Stern. Plus, we're organizing speakers and lots of other attractions. The official homepage will be up within a week or so at www.midwestclassic.net.

Are you going to have a trading time/place set up? Last year was good from a museum standpoint, but it would be nice to encourage trading opportunities.

I wanted to stop by and just meet everyone, I was in the area. But I had my woman with me. The last time i sent to Seans house, I left her in the car for about 2 hours, I am not allowed to go near the place with her in tow again.

We simply did not have the room for trading areas last year. We are moving to a new location this year with much more room (including a kitchen and stage), and we will be having trading tables/areas available.

JagFest is going "On Tour" this year, and will include a showing at the Midwest Classic. Check out the front page of Digital Press (thanks Joe!) or head to http://jagfest.atari.org.

It wouldn't have happened if you'd brought her in to meet the people!

PS -- on your web page in your .sig? I think you mean "Hoard", not "Horde"...
