hey guys :D

1. A good friend offered me this:
1 PS (the big one-not the PSone, working, with modchip)
45 games (don't know wich titles, nearly all in good condition)
1 Dual Shock controller (needs repair on X button)
1 third party controller (working)
1 4 player adapter (working)
1 little plastic shelf for the games (I think this is also third party)

1Gamecube (limited Metroid Prime edition, with Jewel, working, with box and Game)
1 black controller (working)
2 games (perhaps a few more, all in good condition)
1 cable to connect the GC with gameboy advance (working, out of Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicles, with box and game, exellent condition)
1 memory card (working)

This big bundle for 250€ (I think this must be approx. 300 $...this is what google said :D)? Can I buy this from him without being stupid?
He is my best friend, so I a few more bucks wouldn't mind.

2. Is ther a very high risk to mod a PS2 with LEDs and that stuff? Perhaps a HD?

Depends on the games, really. $300 is probably a bit much, but if you think of it as $50 for the cube and $50 for the modded PS, you are looking at $4 per game, so it's probably not that outrageous.

Well, if he's your best friend, can't you ask to see the games before buying? Depending on the games, it could be a great deal or a horrible deal.

Meh,

Seems a little to much concidering you can buy a used gamecube for 60 bucks now. I have a modded PSX and only payed 15 to get it modded, and that was back in the day.

I say lower the price to like 150 TOPS! Also cut out the crap games (if they are) that he's giving you. You don't need MLB 2001 or whatever ;)

Make sure the Playstation games are legit, and the reason for the mod wasn't to play illegal pirate copies of the titles that are worthless.

If they are all legit, as the others have said it is up to what you think of the games overall. That is probably high for the usual types of games that you get in a Playstation lot.

I think I meet my buddy tomorrow again so I can ask him what games he is offering in these bundles. I will post this list here, perhaps there is an uber super mega rare game included ;)
None of these games games are copies, I know copies are worthless.
But I have to try for what the mod chip is in there. My buddy got this PS1 from his uncle as a present. His uncle installed that chip, but now he is dead...so it will be a bit difficult to ask^^
For what things mod chips exist and how can I test it?
