Had a idea for something that hopefully some others will pick up and run with besides just me -- once a week or so, ask a REALLY HARD gaming question on here and award maseta to the first person to post the correct answer. :)
So, in hopes of getting things started, I'll award 100 to the first person who can post the answer -- and I hope this question is tough enough. :P
The question:
Gradius III is the ONLY game in the series to have a sub title -- in ONE location you can see the full name of the game printed as 'Gradius III: (blank)' This is official because the name was listed on something that was made by Konami themselves. What is the sub title?

Well, THAT did'nt take long. :P
On the FIRST page? The only place I saw it was on the BACK COVER, in small text on the bottom. LOL
Of course, I have'nt seen the manual for a number of years.....it might be there as well.
It just always stuck in my mind for some reason, though, maybe because it was never mentioned in the game or box itself and none of the other games had one.

Hmmm... that was kind of quick so I'll toss another one out there, but its on the honor system. Name 20 alien races from Star Control 2. From memory. Spelling doesn't count. No fair looking up fan sites or gamefaqs. They don't have to be playable or even appear, just mentioned somewhere in the game. I'll pass along 100 meseta to the first person to do it.

Didn't the back of the SNES Gradius III box also refer to it in one place as Super Gradius III? I hope I'm not thinking of the wrong game. If I'm correct, I used this piece of triva on someone back in '92. I think it was Gradius III...damn, can't remember.

Actually I'd give you 14 because I counted the Zoq-Fot-Pik as 3 races. The Ur-Quan were actually 2 races, the Ur-Quan Kor-Ah and Ur-Quan Kazed-Zah (or something like that). Its been 5 years since I've played this game, but I still think about it often. Probably means I should play it again.
