:bawling: Hey everyone, I'm just wondering why the rarity guide is down so often. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Is there any kind of a scheduled maintenance or is it just spontaneously worked on whenever they get a chance to work on it??? Anyone know? Just curious. Please don't call me a moron if this topic has already been discussed as I don't have time to look around too much in the forums. Just wondering what's up is all. Your response would be greatly appreciated.

probably, the problem with the rairty guide is fromt he server instabilities and having to restore backups and so on...
In before lock!
I'm assuming it's always down for new additions to be added to it. If this is the case, then there must be a way to make an addition to the guide while keeping it online. Or at least a way so that the guide is only down for a short time, but I've seen it down for days at a time in some cases, which doesn't seem right to me.
This is all pure speculation of course, since I have no idea who works on the guide and how it's set up online. :)

I thought you needed to unlock the online rarity guide with the super secret Crypto-Wheel included in the DP Collector's Guides.

The guide does not go down during updates (in the manner your thinking) but just in so much that it might be down for a few minutes for the uploading of stuffs. But thats it. After the recent wiping of the servers the boards are on, the online guide got really messed up and has had to be rebuilt from the ground up. Those that work on it, have a normal day jobs and have their own lives to worry about.
The guide is free, so chill and know that the powers that be know that theres an issue and it will be remedied as soon as it can be.
If your really jonsin for some Guide stuff, buy the DP books. Really they are very nice and are chock full of good things.

yeah, great help, especially for all the PAL stuff that's not in there :roll:
seriously, we all understand the situation ;) but you can't argue it's needed sometimes and people have reasons to miss it ;)
