I'm talking about store retail , not ebay, and what game was it?
I went on a trip to Japan in 2003 and purchased Mother 1 + 2 for 4500 yen, which is like $50 US or something like that...and that was the last game i bought for retail value at a store.

Just recently.
$20 for Capcom Classics
If it's something I really want i'll pick it up at retail, also if it's something I want to play and don't feel like tracking down later (Such as most Atlus games)

Probably Gran Turismo 4 for £30 on its release in March. That seems quite a long time to me. I may have bought one since, but I can't think what it could be.

I haven't bought anything for myself at retail in years. But I did buy a couple greatest hits titles new for my kids last Christmas. If we aren't counting "budget" titles or price drops, then the most recent game I bought new at it's MSRP was Zelda OOT.

yesterday truama center. Its deffently worth the the price. I will also be picking up Shadow of the Collosus for retail too. If i see a game i like i will pay the price, but unforntially they are few a far b/w. 50 bucks is a lot of cash to me so im a little more stingy when i drop my money.

Sept. 28th, DDR Extreme 2
I buy new full retail price games quite often. Its a good way to support the industry. Something that many of the people on this board forget about.

I think it was Super Mario Advance 4 for GBA. Aproximate $65 (normal price for a GBA game here).

Probably Drakkhen for snes in 1991 for $59.99, after that I don't think I've ever bought another game at full price. Do I win? ;)

Psychonauts. I usually won't pay full price, but I want to see more games like this so I voted with my dollars.

I buy greatest hits titles for myself for $20.00 all the time. Sometimes when I'm stuck I'll even buy a $49.99 title to resell for $49.99 at my store if a customer needs it bad enough.
When was the last time I spend $49.99 on a title I played and didn't resell in the next few days? Err.....Um...Sega CD games over 10 years ago.

When I get N64 carts for £1 - £5 each, its very hard to justify paying £30/£35 for a game, so I guess it was Wario Ware Touched on the European Release of the DS, back in march.

Well, there were those 6 dollar N-gage games from ebgames.com. If you mean like, launch price, then it was Advance Wars Dual Strike at 35 bucks.

I guess it would have to be Super Smash Bros. Melee. I think I paid 49.99 (Canadian) for it a little while after it was released.

About two weeks ago..
I went to EB to buy several games used..
Picked up Darkwatch(Xbox) New at at retail price since they didn't have any used..
Silpheed PS2 new at $11.99..Very happy to get a new mint copy at that price since I've been looking for the game.
Any that I have used very trashed and close to that price.
My wife a couple of days ago picked up New at at retail price (for me)
Ghost Recon 2 Summit Srike & GTA SA se (Xbox)

5 days ago, I walked into a store looking for a pair of bongo's for donkey konga (a present for a friend, so couldn't buy anything used :P)
I came out of the store with a SNES Madden NGL '94 (US) for £1, a pair of bongo's and a pre-owned Extreme G III for the GC... I repeat, game stores are dangerous! Every time I enter one, I get robbed! They MUST spray something in the air that forces you to buy until your wallet goes empty....

Midway Arcade Treasures 2 for 19.99.
Before that, I don't even remember. The closest I've come to spending 49.99 on a game was buying 2 getting one free on full price games at TRU a couple of years ago.
I'm cheap.

It depends on the cost of the game. I'll buy a game brand new If its $30 and under and I can't find a mint used copy. Anything over $30 and I usually wait to find a used copy unless its a special game that might be hard to find down the road.

I probably could have waited but... :P

Chalk another one up to We Love Katamari for $29.99. Well worth retail at that price. I don't think I'm ever going to buy a 'console' game retail if they're going the way of $60 unless it's a Katamari type game. I don't like the route that hand helds are going with the 35-40 thing.
Although I think I'm going to pick up that Castlevania game and a DS next paycheck... :/

The last game I ever bought at opening retail price was Perfect Dark for N64, back in '99 (or whenever it was released). I was so pumped from how great Goldeneye was that I even preordered this quasi-sequel.

That plus some $19.99 titles like midway collection 3 etc etc(if that counts)
Last one was Far Cry Instincts for Xbox last week. It starts out killer....but gets lame at the end. You can finish it in a day....and it's SUPER easy, even if you totally suck at shooters.
DON'T pay full price for it.

A loooong time ago. I bought Amplitude for the PS2 from Amazon the day it came out in the UK.
But maybe that doesn't even qualify, because I also used a £5 off voucher that I got from coming in the top 10 scoreboard on some online Super Off Road clone on the Micro Mart website. I was damn close to coming top and winning some completely awesome prize that was so cool that I have clean forgotten what it was. Probably a good thing, since if I could remember I'd still be cursing today.
The funniest part is that if you emailed three freinds about it and they logged in for a race then you could get some 'turbo engine' thing that let you go faster.
Well, I emailed three freinds, but not all of them logged in ... so I never got my turbo powered engine. But I still nearly came top anyway :)
Without such flaky friends, that prize coulda been mine I tell you, all mine!!
Hmm. I seem to have drifted off topic a bit. Before that, the last retail price game that I bought was probably Record of Lodoss War for the Dreamcast. Because it was £4.99 ...

Lost in Blue and Trauma Center.
I don't want to pay more than 30.00 for a portable title, so I'm waiting for a price drop or used copies of quite a few others. If more games were released at that price point, I'd probably buy them. I did pay full price (35.00) for Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones and Meteos a month or two ago; I just felt I needed them.

The original Conkers for the Nintendo 64 wayyyy back when. Ok, 5 years ago. Paid $50. Don't regret it at all.
:D
Katamari Damacy was only $20 wasn't it? That's what I paid for it, even though I waited nearly a year to get it. So, I guess that's it for me.

Technically, We Love Katamari for $30. But that's only cuz I reserved it a GameStop but couldn't use my boyfriend's employee discount. I only reserved it and paid full price there instead of buying it with my 10% employee discount at Toys R Us because when you reserve something at GameStop you can pay it off in increments. So I may have paid the full $31.49 (that's with tax) but I did it $5 at a time over 3 months so it felt a lot less. :)
Other than that I NEVER buy games at retail price, because even if I buy a new game, I usually buy it at my work with my discount. But I'm always buying used games at GameStop with my 10% Game Informer discount or conning my boyfriend into buying it for me so I can use his 15% employee discount (I HAD to do this with Kirby's Til n Tumble. For a $20 GBC game, I'd rather save 15% than 10%. LOL)
So the only time I pay for games at full price w/no discount of any sorts is when I reserve them. And I only reserve the games I HAVE to have the day they come out. (We Love Katamari, DDR Mario Mix and Twilight Princess are so far the only 3 I've done)
And the one other time I paid retail price was buying KotOR at Target. I did it b/c my store had none, GameStop had none and it was advertised for $16.88, so it was a decent price anyway.
It's amazing how little I usually pay for games :)

Warioware: Twisted! (GBA) back when I first bought my GBA (July I think). That was a big waste of $$$ (the game not the system).
