Does anybody know what this is? I did a search here but didn't see anything. Or I missed it.

They are simple enough that a rental place could have just had them made for thier store.

... they seem to be custom-made... but they resemble old SNES cart holders. O_o

Actually, the 32 in 1 Atari put out for the 2600 came in a clamshell case. I picked up a copy a while back, thinking it was some rarity. It looks rather cheap. The slip that goes in the clamshell is white with red text. Not sure if these 7800 games are similar.
