I am trying to compile a list of all current gen (PS2 / Cube / Xbox) games which have had a limited edition, or a packaging variant (Such as a store exclusive cardboard sleeve), or simply games which have had a choice of coming with a peripheral... Or, just games that are a little bit on the special side...

Mainly PAL versions, although I have included some notable American versions as well (In red)

There was an HMV exclusive slip case for Zelda: WW in the UK.

From what I remember, it was pretty damn cool. Can't for the life of me find a picture though.

Robotech is probably the most notable American one. I know of four different releases:

1. Standard
2. Standard with DVD inside
3. Standard with Guide Book inside
4. Collector's Box Set.

I know for sure the PS2 has all 4 of those, not sure about the Xbox or GC.

For the PS2 Ultimate Spider-man, there was the regular (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/257062.asp) Spider-man and LE Venom (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/258261.asp) versions. I'm pretty sure they didn't do this for the Xbox or Gamecube.

Newest Pokemon game (XD) with Pokemon gamecube (at bestbuy).

Streetfighter (Nuby) 15th anniversary releases including fighter gaming stick for PS2/xbox.

Neo Geo Fighting stick 2 for PS2 (import) for all those Neo Geo games.

Yes, Vampire Night came packed with a GunCon 2. So did Time Crisis: Crisis Zone. I also have a Mario Golf Target Tour Edition, 1080 Avalanche with bonus music (wal-mart I think), and a limited Batman Rise of Sin Tzu, that comes with the large style box and a couple goodies.

All of the above is NTSC stuff.

I know there is a topic floating around with most gamecube variants in the US, and there are probably more for other systems.

Most of them I own. The others I have previously stumbled upon on eBay and just stick in the mind (Like the Ico Promotional set)

Ah yes, I forgot the Onimusha III one and MGS3 slipcases.

And yes, Vampire Nights did come with the G-Con 2. There was also another Time Crisis-like game recently, but I can't remember it's name at the moment...

Primal (PAL version) had a limited edition. But i'm not sure if it was held in a metal tin (which i think it was), or if it just had a different cover.

The only thing I can think of right now is that I have the Nascar 98 Collectors Edition, which is slightly more valuable than the regular.

Not sure if you want Japanese games, but:

PS2:

Karaoke Revolution J-Pop Blue Bundle (Comes with Vol 7, 8, Anime Songs, and Microphone) - Red and Green Bundles also exist.

Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (Comes with special box, color minibook, and sample CD)

Ys VI: Ark of Naphistim (Comes with Watch and other goodies) -

also:

5 people from GameFAQs won the U.S. Ys VI Boss Time Trial contest and are getting the same things as the Japanese limited edition package.
