View Full Version : Gamecube Pokemon Bundle

I was at Best Buy yesterday and in addition to all their SSMB Cube bundles, they also had one Pokemon XD Bundle. It appearantly came with a copy of the game, and the cube itself had a Pokemon "jewel" (I think that's what it was called here a while ago). I hadn't heard anything about this until seeing it...has anyone else come across one of these?

yep... i was at target on friday night and they had about 6 of these... cool boxart, definitely caught my attention... and a great deal too...
priced at $100 you're getting a $50 game, a $20 controller, and a $30 gamecube... pretty sweet.

If you don't have a Gamecube and want this game, its a pretty good way to go about it.
I personally am not interested in the game after playing Colosseum, but it should still be good.

that's the only thing that confuses me about this bundle... what pokemon fan honestly doesn't own a gamecube by now?
still, there's probably someone out there that could use this bundle... it really is a good deal, like i said.

That is tempting in that I don't want to shell out $50 for a game I've heard nothing about. Of course, I don't _need_ another Gamecube either (I have 1 spare already on hand) -- but it would be more bang for the buck that way v/s just buying the game. How confusing.
Heck, I still want Double Dash, Custom Robo, and SF Assualt for the cube... None of those are dropping fast unfortunately.
I did get lucky and got the $10 Paper mario though Hoo-HA!

Custom Robo isn't dropping in price? From what I've played (the whole game), it's not $50 good after, what, one year on the shelf? I mean, it's very linear, and the actual battles are redundant and lack strategy.
Just my opinion.

Since the local Gamestop (and even Wal-Mart) have run out of the SSBM bundle, I'm trying to get enough money to get the "Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness" bundle.

I'm personally not interested in any new 'Cube that doesn't have the Progressive Scan port, so I won't be getting it.
I pre-ordered Pokemon XD and got that Gamecube Skin, and that thing looks EXTREMELY sweet on my purple cube. I don't think I'm going to want another cube any time soon...besides, the Rev will be backwards-compatible.
