I have a decnt sized back log when it comes to even my new games and i figured its time to get crackin and beat some games before i buy more. right now i'm on an action/adventure/platformer kick, especially after beating Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.
Please vote and tell me why i should tackle it as my next title.

None of the above, play DJ Battle on the Wonderswan.
(I wish I still had that damn game)
If you still play your gamecube I recommend Batallion Wars.

Viewtiful Joe is by far the best game in that lot. Go with that for now.

Viewtiful Joe gets the thumbs up from me :hail: One of the best in the genre for years. Stylistic and modern, yet served with oodles of retro gameplay. It proves (as if we didn't already know) that 2D gaming (crossbred with the occasional polygon) is far from dead.
I can't recommend Viewtiful Joe enough.

Destroy All Humans because you probably paid the most to get it. I tend to play the games I paid a lot for as quickly as possible because otherwise, if I don't get to them and see them selling for $20.00 new, I feel stupid for having bought it.
Otherwise, go with Viewtiful Joe.

I played a demo of Destroy All Humans, and frankly, I thought it was garbage. I seem to be in the minority with that opinion though, so maybe you'll like it.
However, I do recommend Metal Arms. It's a total sleeper, which is somewhat rare these days. I've only played the Gamecube version myself, but I imagine the PS2 version is mostly the same.

First I would go with Viewtiful Joe. Then I would hit Maximo.
Viewtiful Joe gives you a reasonably fresh visual experience to go with de3cent gameplay.
Go with Maximo and in some ways the game will already feel familiar.

Viewtiful joe... no doubt...
Never really liked maximo... always came across to me as being a little on the slow side.

Metal Arms, baby.
The PS2 and Gamecube versions are damn near identical, which was kind of sad. I really expected more from the Gamecube versions, graphics-wise, but it seems only the Xbox was worthy of getting a not-the-same-as-the-PS2 version.
Still a hella fun game, though it does have some retardedly difficult parts. I even discussed my issues with a dev on the team who filled me in on why certian stuff went down the way it did. Helped me understand why some things that I didn't like (throwing grenades into that guy's mouth with zero feedback) wound up in the finished product :(
Even with the few flaws it has, it's a damn fun game with a good bit of humor in it. Hard (sometimes harder than it should be), but fun.
I liked Viewtiful Joe as well, but neither it nor Billy Hatcher really come close to comparing to Metal Arms, and I've heard much negative speak on Maximo (though the sequel is supposed to be better). I've not yet played it (still have it shrink wrapped), but I'll get around to it one of these days just to see what all of the hoopla is about.

I think the Nintendo DS version is named Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble. Battle Carnival is for the PSP. Both should be great games :)
