View Full Version : Anyone get L.A Rush?. How is it?

Know it came out tuesday, was very looking forward to it as I thought it was online..but heard it wasn't?..so I'll get it when it's got a price drop or is it worth $50 just for the story mode?.
Too many games this month to waste $50 on something that has no replay value, can be beat in a few days.
So is it worth it for me to rush out and get this new street racer or just wait till it hits $20?

I'm picking up my preorder at EB today. I was thinking about waiting for a price drop, but getting Midway Arcade Treasures as a preorder bonus sealed the deal (that and I had some credit to burn from some trade-in promotions EB had last month).
I'll get back to this thread after I've spent some time with it.

I have to say, I went to pick it up yesterday, and when I found out it WASN'T online, only scoreboards and live aware... I returned it, but not after keeping my FREE copy of MAT3 .... sweeeeeeeeeeeeet... to me this is a RENTAL at best, nothing more.. sadly.
No thanks. I didn't like it at all. It's trying to be too fast ala Burnout but without the smooth control needed for warp speeds. Stir in some cheap AI and you've got a recipe for money well wasted. LOL

If it's anything like the demo included with the Official Playstation Magazine, I probably won't be picking it up.

You know what, I figured it was going to be like this, and too much street/gangster racer as well.
I was really looking forward to this game until I heard it was going to be nothing like the other Rush games. I am really dissapointed with this one. (I'm going to still rent the game this week though)
