I have these games complete with maps and all that good crap. Not sealed but near mint condition. How much could I get out of these? I know they are not very rare, but I'm new to all of this. So, if someone could help a newbie out, it would be greatly appreciated.

You should get a pretty penny for them... I suggest going on ebay and looking at ended items to see how much they go for.

Show pictures so people can see the condition on them.

I'd say 70+ for FF III if it's in good condition/complete and maybe 100+ for CT complete/mint.

If you need that money to get an operation to save someone's life, sell the games.

If not, keep them.

Are they rare?

Not rare, just not as easy to come by buy going to the local store and picking up a copy... especially if they're in good condition.

Especially complete.

...although honestly Final Fantasy III sucks, I don't care what the unsilent majority says. Any game that just kinda ends halfway through and asks the player to continue on finding out what to do based upon the merrits of the game's core itself (which while well done, just wasn't good enough to drive that) does not a classic make.

I do suggest you at least play Chrono Trigger once since it is one of the greatest games to be released on the SNES.

On the other hand you'll make good money with them on eBay. Make sure you start the bidding low with a Buy It Now at a decent price of what you want. I've sold MANY copies of Final Fantasy III at $30 ~ $45 on eBay that were cartridge only. And I sold one at $70 that had MOST of the map and a heavily worn but all there manual, that was a BIN ending auction as well.

Hell, if people are paying $250 for complete copies of EarthBound right now then you'll get $50 or so EASY for FFIII and Chrono Trigger. SNES games always come into demand around this time of year for some reason.

I got $28 for a loose FFIII that was missing most of the label. Games aren't tough to find, but are still certainly in demand.

As was mentioned before, if you don't need the money that badly, hang on to them, because they are special to say the least. But yeah, they'd fetch a pretty penny, thats for sure.

I really don't have the money to keep them. I paid about $90.00 for them both. I want to start a collection, but just don't have the money right now. I only collect RPG's anyways. So I don't figure it will take me to eternity to collect alot of games.

So you paid $180 total or $90 total?

If you paid either amounts, don't sell them (yet)!!!

If anything, you'll make maybe $20-$40 (that is, if you paid total $90 to get both games).

If you wait a while, the price will increase quite a bit. But I still wouldn't recommend selling them...

Well, I honestly thought FF III was more fun, interesting, and engrossing than FFIII, but thats just me.

Huh?

I try to say FFIII (US) or FFVI, meaning Final Fantasy 6 with Kefka.

Final Fantasy III (JPN) is the NES version... so you said FF III was more than FFIII? I'm confused...

Oh. Yeah, that was a great game. Apparently it's being remade for GBA. I loved being able to use 5 characters at once. That's the one thing I liked about it more than FFVI.

Yes, I want to beat that game again when I get the chance.

Thats what made it so interesting, it was not linear as much as the first half. You play in a post apocolyptic (sp?) world where you can choose how it plays out. FF6 was the absolute pinnacle of the series. I was a fanatic until that one fateful day when I popped the FF8 demo into my PSX. FF7 may not have been as great as FF6 but it most certainly "felt" like a final fantasy game. In my opinion anything after that was garbage.

The beauty of Square games is you can always count on the "fanbois" to drive the price up. My recommendation is to hang on to them... no point in selling something unless you really don't want it or need the money.

Felt the same way until I played 9. And I was overjoyed. Then I played 10 and have never looked back.
