Ok, I've been here a long time and I knw this is mostly a VG forum, but I do know that some old computer gurus like myself roam here as well. I picked up a very nice TRS-80 model I the other day. For you youngins, think back to 1977-78 for this one. LOL Anyway, it came mostly complete except for some connecting ribbon cables for the interface. Anyway, my question is on the unit itself. It looks like this thing has been heavily modifed. I remember Model I', and I don't remember the 2 silver switches by the power button. One has a piece of tape marked CPM the other by the power button, I have no idea lol. Do any of you old fogies remember the Model I being capable of handling CPM? I knew it was around, but didn't use it heavily until around the mid 80's with the Kaypros and Wordstar. It also cam with a couple of ancient floppy drives, but the ribbon cables for those are a little too small for the interface. Weird and wild stuff. Take a look, see what you think...
