I got this by accident and for free, no loss if it ain't, still cool though.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure those are date codes at the bottom of the EPROMs, which would make it too late to be a proto.

I know it's an atari game, did the proto have an atari case or was it just a board. I kinda expected it to be thrown into a parker bros case to be able to play the game in the console.
Here is a real one, got it from a guy who was an ATARI
game tester his name was Scott (even has his first name
written on the pink label) he still works in San Jose but is now
realestate salesman

This one does not have the SB only titled Microgammon on
the title screen also has the option to change the board
and game piece colors
