Someone please help, i just got my first turbo grafx 16 system but there is no power supply and no rf switch or whatever is required.
Ive tried to power it with everything i got, Genesis ac adapter seems to work but since there is no light indicating the power is on, i dont know.I think my real problem is with the rf switch, i tried sega rf switch and nintendo rf switch with no results.
Anyone who knows anything about this matter please help.
Thanks
Thats it for me -_-

My TG-16 says it requires a 10.5V adapter, the Genesis adapter fits in it but says 9V. I think I recall that this did work anyways but it's not a good idea. The RF adapters in my experience are usually compatible so my best guess is that your cartridge (hu-card) port may need cleaning....or you need to change to the correct channel...
Wish I had a better answer..

any generic sega 1 or nes rf switch works ok.

you can also use the NES coaxl cable to hook up your TG16, honestly that's what I use cause that's all I got. LOL
If you have the original Turbo CD-ROM and dock hooked up, you're screwed. Only the AC adapter made for it will work on it.

Not exactly. There are other adapters that work, but they are extremely rare. There was an adapter that Fry's Electronics sells for $14.99 that should work.
But when it comes to just a regular Turbo by itself, then you just need a Genesis 1 power adapter. As for RF, yuck!! I would definitely get a TurboBooster. Worth it for the true Stereo Sound not to mention improved video quality.

I'm currently using a universal power supply that was intended mostly for a SNES... so if you have a spare SNES supply lying around, you could probably just hack on a different jack and get that working.
As already mentioned, pretty much any RF switch will work.

Ok thank you guys, i think i got screwed because i tried it with a genesis 1 power supply and with a nes rf switch and another try with sega master rf switch and nothing happened, i think this unit is broken, since there is no light on the turbo as i said before, how can i know if the power is working?
Thanks again
