Is this the going price for these? I'm not much of a magazine collector, but it caught my eye because I used to own a copy years ago so i put it in my Watching list.
Final bid was $51.00.

two others have sold seperately it seems
one for $41
and one BIN for $10
Nintendo sent these out for free. I got two copies myself just for sending in the "fun club" application. I also knew people that got free copies just by writing in and asking.
"Rare". Hmph.
It was a great issue though. :)

In my opinion issue #2 is the rarist.

yeah, that's how i got mine. i would like to have one in NrMT to MT, but not for $50. That's why I passed on the auction. Personally, I wouldn't give more than $30 for it. I guess the bidder really wanted it.

There are 2 different versions of issue 1.
The preview issue which was sent for free, and the subsciption issue which was resent when you signed up
The biggest difference is the wording on the cover in the star above mario

I've had several NP first issues in my possession over the years. I've sold them all (except my personal copy of course) on ebay for $15 - $25 each.

I got one last year, Gem mint w/poster for $8.50 shipped. I sold one on the boards here w/o poster for about the same price. Evidentally I didn't do my homework or maybe I gave a fair price. I think anything over $20 is too much, but if people are willing to pay it, then that's the going rate.
