Nes Vaus controller problems...

My vaus controller has a case of the jitters...very similar to the old 2600 paddle controller problem. Anyone know of a fix for this, whether it be a rebuild kit or an internal fix? Thanks.

If the vaus controller is anything like typical paddle controls, a shot of tuner cleaner spray into the potentiometer and a few spins in both directions should get rid of the jitter. Electronics stores, and possibly radio shack sell the stuff.

The Vaus paddles have a history of falling apart, which is too bad since it's really the only way to play the game on the NES. Dpad+Arkanoid=Ack! If you do open it up, be extra careful!

Thanks for the info...I'll open it up and try to clean it when I get some time. If this doesn't work does anyone know where I can possibly get a working one for a good price? (other than ebay)
