Play a Hello Kitty game sometime and get back to me. Yoshi will seem like a bad-ass by comparison.

I've never played this game, but apparently it's the worst game Mr. Miyamoto ever made.

It isn't just you.
My fiancee adores this game for that very reason, and contrary to popular belief, I don't think it's that bad at all. A bit simple, but a decent and good looking platformer.

I thought it was fun in a short sort of way. I certainly enjoyed it more than Mario Sunshine (damn you crazy water squirty thing!)

I LOVED this game. I still love it now. It's not the worst game Miyamoto ever made.
It's no Yoshi's Island, but it's not a terrible game. The graphic style is unique. Paper and fabric. I love it. Especially the underground pipe areas. I will definitely download this for the Revolution.
If anything, it really should have been much longer. If they had instead required you to play all four levels on each page instead of just 6 different ones in a path it could have been four times longer. Four times harder. Four times better. I mean, even then it'd only be 8 levels short of the amount in Super Mario Bros.
Still, it was cool as hell. I wasn't disappointed.

I disagree totally. This game is great in that my 3-year-old can play it, pass levels and have fun, but try getting all 30 melons in each level. I've never done it.
You have to think of it more as an adventure/puzzle game more than an action game.
Yoshi's Story, easy to "finish" very difficult to "beat."
BTW, I also love the way the music changes depending on your health, great touch.

I also like this game very mych, and I love the art style. Simplistic game? yes. But it is great fun to play, and thats the most important thing.

Yoshi's Story was basically the game I used to annoy everyone at Gamestop with, when I had to test another N64 (that we didn't need since we had a million and half of them in the backroom). Personally I enjoy/enjoyed it. Honestly, it's aged graphically a lot better then the majority of N64 titles.

I liked this game too, but the comment got me thinking. What is Mr. Miyamoto's worst game? Has he done any flops? This game was pretty good, but all the others I can think of were freaking awesome, so maybe it is the worst.

Not really. I think it's one of the best N64 games I have ever played, IMO.

I think the game is done very well. It may not be one of the greatest games of all time, but it is quite polished and has its own unique style. It is a little short for my liking, but it certainly is a good addition to the N64 library.

I'm a huge fan of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. There is no way it could be more kiddie than that. Give it a chance and see. It my surprise you like SMW2 did to me. I almost couldn't play it at first.

I don't think he had much to do with the development of Yoshi's Story.
I hated it, the fruit collecting slowed the game down to a crawl. Horrible.

I don't think he had much to do with the development of Yoshi's Story.
As I recall, his involvment became limited due to the need to work on OoT.
It could have been a truly staggering game, but as it is there is definitely some polish and fine-tuning missing.
