problem with seller

what do you do if you buy an item off ebay and the seller never sends it to you? the item is a prototype, which are no longer allowed to be sold on ebay. i paid for it almost 3 months ago. i tried contacting the seller a few weeks later when i hadn't received it yet and he didn't reply. i found out that he ran a messageboard so i posted a thread to him about it over there and he replied by saying "don't stalk me on my own forums" and that he had to move and other various excuses. so i wait another month, still doesn't come. i try e-mailing him and pm'ing him on his board and he doesn't reply, so i post another thread to him. this time he replies by saying he tried to send it out twice already and he won't send it out a third time until i gie him my correct address(even though the address that he got from ebay IS my correct address). so i e-mailed my address to him(this was a couple weeks ago) and he never replies to the e-mail. i have tried e-mailing him and pm'ing him again and he still never replies. then on another message board that i check out he posted a thread, i told him to e-mail me and asked if he tried sending it out a 3rd time yet, i know he read the thread, but still no reply. any advise?

Leave a negative feed-back and if you paid through pay-pal go through them and try to get your money back.

I think you need more people to harrass him.

Where's his forum? What's his email address? I can be quite a pain in the ass, and in fact, enjoy it.

DP's right, sounds like he could use a little more pressure from other people just to let him know that giving you the run-around isn't too good an idea.

i left a negative, but i paid with a money order :/ a few other people from this board won some of his other proto auctions, but all the people i've talked to either never sent him the money, or got their money sent back with unknown address written on it. he told me that he did receive my money order though.

If you still have his name and address, call 411 and see if you can get his phone number. Even calling him long distance shouldn't cost you more than about 10 cents a minute or so. Call him up and give him a dollars worth of what's on your mind! >:(

that guy who runs the 32x website finally got his proto 32x virtua fighter plus some dreamcast proto as a gift. i think the sellers house really did burn down but thats no reason for him to ignore your repeated requests. you should not give up hope now keep at it!!!

ok, its good to know that somebody actually got their proto from him. hopefully i will eventually get mine.

Turn him into e-bay for not sending the item. You are covered up to $175.00 under ebays insurance policy. You will get your money back it will just take some time. If this auction was on there site and you were the winning bidder and it did end with out being canx. Then you have a right to turn this into e-bay and recoupe your money.
