Went to that 50% off sale SNES and NES games at EB.
Final Fight
Super Smash TV
The Lion King
Sim City
Adventure Island 2 GB.
All this was only 17.95. But when he initially entered the items he said my total was 39 something. I said to him "umm..what about that 50% off bub?" and he aplogized.
How can they totally forget to take 50% off of certain games without saying anything? How many people there bought games for the whole price?
Also, some sad news is that ebgames is no longer taking in nes, snes, genesis titles anykore and are liquidiating the curretn stock :(:(:(

^ Yup, they're getting ready for the Gamestop merge.
What the Manager of Eb told me was that they were going to still remain EB games, they aren;t going to turn into Gamestops.
Also, my take on the liquidating is that they are getting ready for the new phase of XB360, PS3, and NR games and systems to be coming in.

Got 3 copies Tony Hawk Underground 2 for Gamecube at Best Buy yesterday. Scared the crap out of the clerk when they rang up for $4.99.
Traded one of those + a Call of Duty for PS2 + a Magic the Gathering for Xbox in to EB Games for a free copy of Gran Turismo 4 for PS2 (a $40 value for only $15 after the trade-in). Also got a complete copy of Ecco Jr. (GEN) for $2 at EB.
Bought a PS1 screen at K-Mart for $13, too. Shocked the crap out of that clerk as well (they were priced at $78).
I'm a hustler, homie, ask about me...

Man, I wish I had a camera. 8-)
Just arrived today from auctions I buy-it-now'd:
Sega Saturn, model 2, brand new in box (includes cd sampler, Nights Into Dreams and 1 controller, everything including the box mint)
Black Fire (disc+manual only, mint)
Virtua Racing (disc+manual only, mint)
1 Sega Saturn 1st party contoller (the smaller, japanese style one; brand new in box)
$75 shipped. :D
And what's this second package? Oh hoho, something to enjoy my new Nights with?
2 Sega Saturn 3D contol pads (pads are brand new, both boxes where beat up, but the pics showed that)
$16.50 shipped. :D
Ok, maybe not the super-duper uber deals like some of you guys find at yard sales and stuff, but I've had a grin about this :D big stuck on my face all afternoon.
Scored a complete copy of Diablo for the PSX. Nothing overly special BUT......unbeknownst to the new clerk, there had been a LONG waiting list for a used copy to show. I walked in as it was being traded in and jumped on it before it hit the list. Good timing.

Ommitted quoting the pictures for good reasons (still 56kers out there).
Why would a man show a couple of pictures, containing NEC gaming imports, and not describe them. You do realise a good majority of us either don't collect for the PC Engine (or FX, which I'm not even knowledged about), or can't read Japanese. Come on man, put in some effort! I'm interested.

Tonight I got one of the Tak happy meal toys from McDonald's (Needles). Still sealed in the plastic baggie. I don't own and haven't played any of the Tak games, but I won't turn down a video game related happy meal toy for free!
Genesis
Phelios (Complete) $4
Micro Machines (Complete) $4
Thunder Force III (Complete) $4
Flicky (Missing Instuctions) $4

Okie Dokie
Obviously it is a PC-FX system. NEC's 32 bit system contemporary to the Saturn & PSX. With is an extra controller, mouse & memory card. The FX does have internal memory like the Saturn, but with the amount of RPGs the memory card is a must.
The Games: (starting Top Left:)
Der Langrisser FX: Turn Based Strategy RPG. The Langrisser series has largely been ignored in the US but has spawned at least 5 or 6 Japanese games as well as remakes. We did get Langrisser I in the form of Warsong though. Lots of voice and cool opening animation but fairly unplayable if you can't read the menus or follow the storyline. (which I can't)
Tengai Makyou Kakutoden: FMV fighter based on the "Far East of Eden" series that has been on every platform imaginable. Haven't played this one yet.
Team Innocent: Point of No Return: Adventure game that fairly seamlessly integrates animation into the Alone in the Dark style gameplay. Controls are clunky and text heavy, but there are walk-thrus on the net. Seems dated by today's standards, but is a definite must own for a showcase PC-FX collection.
Battle Heat: FMV fighter. Awesome intro. The controls take a bit of getting used to but basically it is kind of a turn based fighting game. You attack..Enemy Responds...Enemy Attacks..you respond. The animation keeps up seamlessly and I'm sure once I figure out what I am doing it will be more enjoyable.
Pachio-Kun FX: Pachinko Adventure. Mediocre graphics and shoddy animation on this one, but the pachinko gameplay is solid enough and there is an overriding storyline where you are challenging enemies and accumulating points. The novelty of Pachinko makes this one a cool diversion.
Power Dolls FX: Military Sim / Strategy Game that is very heavy on the text and not for a non-Japanese audience (me again). Haven't really tried getting past the starting point yet as it is all fumbling around.
Overall the PC-FX is a pretty cool system to collect for, but a novelty for anyone who can't speak Japanese. I'm hoping that the FX emulators that are in the works will spur on translations for FX games so I can potentially play some of these in English....and yes the FX plays burns with no copy protection.

Yesterday I found a complete Saturn for $10AUD. I already have two (a PAL and JPN one) so I'm giving it to my friend for Christmas.
Today, I got:
Paine, Garnet, Zidane and Steiner figurines with stands: $10
Klonoa PSX complete - $10
Abe's Oddysee & Exoddus for PC, complete - $20
Urbs: Sims In The City - $30 sealed (not an amazing price, but I've wanted this for a while, and since it was on sale...)
Spice GCN controller - $10
Rock N Roll Racing for Mega Drive, cart - $3
Saturn analog controller - $4.
Yay :)
Went into a local shop and scored what I think is the original Metal Gear for NES. I decided not to leave it just in case it was.
It's got a guy dressed in green, a mech and says Metal Gear along with Ultra Games on the label. Wasn't sure since there's no mention of Konami. I'd never seen it before in the wild.

240 before shipping.
330 after...EMS is hella expensive, but it got to me super quick.
Still for the System, 6 games (7 if you count the PCE Super Fan Disc that someone stuck in with Power Dolls ;D ), Mouse, Extra Controller, & Memory Card it was a pretty sweet deal.

Thank you RevQuixo, it was a fun read. Although, you didn't have to put that much detail into the game descriptions if you didn't want to. It's cool that Langrisser made it to that system as I'm a fan of the origional (Warsong as you said) for the Genesis. A good SRPG.
You know, with all the SRPG's and Tactical RPG's coming out in the states this gen, you'd think we'd see a return of Langrisser.

I took about an hour trip to the not-quite-local EB that had a good # of NES games. I think it was worth it, as I scored 25 games for a total of $45.31.
Rollerblade Racer
Fisher Price Perfect Fit
Sqoon
Burai Fighter
Dynowarz
Greg Norman's Golf Power
Abadox
Super Spike V'Ball
Black Bass
Monster in My Pocket
Predator
Battleship
Snake, Rattle and Roll
Pictionary
Rolling Thunder
Ninja Gaiden 2
Jungle Book
Yoshi's Cookie (complete!)... originally marked for 15, figured I'd take it for 7.50... it rang up for 6, then less the 50% off... 3 bucks, sweet.
The only bonehead thing I did was in my excitement, I accidentally bought the following 7 doubles.
Wrath of the Black Manta
Rad Racket
Image Fight
Monster Party
Mafat Conspiracy
Orb 3D
Kabuki Quantum Fighter
Still, I don't think I did too poorly there.
BTW, if anybody lives near Butler, PA, there's still another 20 or so NES games there that I left behind. Plus, there was quite a few loose SNES and Genesis loose and boxed. They're just not my thing. Might be worth checking out.

CD - Dream Theater - Falling into Infinity - 3
Strangely enough, this cd is a not for resale version which belonged to Las Vegas' Virgin Megastore. Weird....

PC - King's Quest I (complete) - 2...SWEET!
Afterwards, I headed to an area of town I hadn't been to in a long time and was passing by this goodwill where I have NEVER FOUND A DAMN THING. I was about to blow the place off and continue on, but decided to stop anyways...went inside, nothing in the case, and headed back to the books & electronics. Back there I found a SWEET score!

There's a few more I want there such as Blue Print, Gorf and Super Cobra, so I may try back Saturday and see if I can score em on the cheap. It's a shame EB is getting rid of all their classic games to conform to GameStop's polocies, but I can't complain about the deals! For $16.65 total I got the following:
Captain America and the Avengers (NES, my 400th game!)
Star Force (NES)
Breakthru (NES)
Alpha Mission (NES)
Silk Worm (NES)
Xenophobe (NES)
Demon Sword (NES)
Silent Service (NES, this game looks like it will suck...)
Kirby's Dream Course (SNES)
Yoshi's Island (SNES)
Not bad I guess. I've got one more EB I think I'll revisit to see if I overlooked anything. I'm going to do that when Gunstar Super Heroes is out.

This past weekend I found Persona 2 and Rhapsody at a Gamestop. Both were in super mint condition. I also found Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance.
Well, I stopped at another Gamestop today.

From a local shop:
Legend of Zelda (GBA) - complete, $15
Singer Sewing Machine software (GBC) - loose, $10. I snatched this up only because it came up recently in a thread about rare GB games and thought it would be a good investment.

Max TV for PS2 EyeToy- $5

@ClubNinja- NICE grab on the BZ! The Onion had a short retro review on it recently- mentioning the "greasy plastic viewfinder" everyone in the arcade pressed their face to. LOL

It plays blind right now. I found a blown fuse on the deflector circuit that led me to a few sets of transistors. As it goes with those things, I'll be checking for shorts in them this weekend and, with a little luck, should be able to replace them and have the game up and running.

I popped along to PC World during my lunch break today, and picked up Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect on Xbox, and F.E.A.R for my much neglected PC.
Meanwhile, the postman delivered Clock Tower 3 (PS2) and 1080 Avalanche (GC) - both courtesy of Amazon - and XG3: Extreme G Racing (PS2), Fighting Fury (PS2) and Ultimate Spider-Man (DS) arrived from Simply Games.

I actually got a bunch of stuff over the last few days. I will try to post pictures of them tomorrow.
Such things like complete in box games:
Zelda 2 (NES) :)
Final Fantasy
Wizardry 2
and other things. Only bad part is I owe someone $50 more dollars (cost 100 in all) @_@
