My N64 controllers are dying :-( Are there any N64 3rd party controllers that actually last longer then a few years? Or are there any that are dirt cheap and work ok?
Also is anyone blowing out new N64 controllers anywhere like the EB 3.99 DC controllers?

some of them last longer but they suck to use them because of the size or the buttons might be different

You know...I have a 3rd party pad that I love for my N64...I can't remember the name of it right now.
It was black, and actually set up much like the current Gamecube pad, except both the d-pad and analog stock are on the left end. It's pretty comfortable...
lemme look for it...

Ah, it's called the Superpad 64...
except that the ones I see online look nothing like the one I have...

In my experience all 3rd party N64 pads suck. But I've only used about 5 of them. I will say this though:
Stay away from Joytech, the analog stick wears down after about an hour.

I had a MadCatz one that broke inside a week. I avoid ALL third party parts, controllers, and accessories for every system like the plague cause they always break for me.

There was one 3rd party N64 pad that was the bomb!
It was shaped more like the playstation controller "length wise", and was usually black I believe. The analog stick had a metal arm instead of plastic, and lasted forever. It outlived 3 of my regular N64 controllers, I can't remember what it was called though.
I think the analog, and digital were on the same side of the controller also so maybe it's that same controller scooterb23 mentioned, does that controller have a metal analog arm scooter? If so that's the controller to get, very good!

That's it! It's called the MakoPad64. That was absolutely the best N64 I EVER used! if you can find one, I highly recommend getting it!
Also here's a link that shows the front of the box, and states about the steel analog stick. Hell, it's even fully licensed, I didn't realize that. 8-)
