Ps2 lens Question

I picked up a ps2 dirt cheap. It plays blue disc and psone games fine no dvd or dvd games. I tried adjusting the dvd power screw. No luck.
The model is scph-50001 the lens has an hd7 cover on it.

Is this work fixing considering the possibility of a price drop coming soon. If I could get a lens I believe I could install it. What are the going rates for lens?

Any help would be appreciated.

Uh.. you've played with the power adjustment POT but have you actually tried to clean the lens itself?

Yes I have cleaned the lens as well. I figure the lens must be bad and need replacing. I am looking for advice and tips from anyone familar with the ps2 lens issue. Where can you find replacement lens at a resonable price?

Those optics (HD7's) are hard to find. You won't find a working one cheap enough to be worth it.
