what are the newer CO-OP games?

I know a lot of newer games have online co-op games. but i want games that two people in the same room can play two player co-op. but i have the faintest clue which games have it anymore.

Ghost Recon, pretty good series
Star Wars: Clone Wars
Some LotR RPG game. Forgot the name.
FF: Crystal Cronicals
Zelda: Four Swords
Some Operation Desert Storm or some variation of that title. I wasn't very impressed by it though. Get Ghost Recon.

What we need is a WW2 flight sim where your friends can be gunners. Are thre any console games like that?

Doom III: CE and the new Doom III on XBox have the classic Doom levels available, in split-screen, for up to four player co-op.

X-Men Legends I & II - I played the first a little bit; it's OK.

Isn't Tales of Symphonia multiplayer co-op?

Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows looks like it might be a fairly decent multiplayer co-op experience...we'll see, though. It may reek of Romero.

There is also "The Adventures of Cookie & Cream" - not as new, but pretty fun - may be hard to find at this point, though.
