View Full Version : DDR Arcade / Konamix Differences?
I recently (yesterday, I believe) acquired Dance Dance Revolution Konamix for the Playstation. I have to say, it is much better than the first DDR USA release!
However, I am also saddened. One of the songs, Cutie Chaser, I know has a changed background. In the original version, the dog-girl in the background is chibi (super-deformed) with stumpy legs and glossy makeup. In the Konamix version, she is a tall, leggy dog, with "banana boobs." (Think 50's magazine covers.) They changed her from "cutie" to "hussey!"
So can anyone else verify any other changes that we North American gaijin got?

You know that song in Konamix called After the Game? Well, it used to be called After the Game of Love, and it actually had lyrics instead of the saxophone. I guess Konami thought it was too "suggestive". Ha ha. That's the only other glaring difference I can think of in Konamix.

The funny part is how Extreme USA has Highs Off U, which features the line "fuckin' you up".

The version with lyrics has since been published in the US. This was really nothing special. Konami has always put instrumental versions of various songs in each edition of DDR.

It showed up in Ultramix 2 or something, didn't it? I forgot about that.
But the fact that they altered the title as well as the song itself suggests that they were trying really hard not to come off as sounding racy by trivializing love as a "game", etc. Crazy ol' Konami.

Really? Such as? Only one I can think of is After The Game.

The Injection of Love "remix" in Extreme 2 is the only other one I can think of offhand. That one's not too surprising, since the lyrics contain "fuck me".
