Names you make up for stuff in games with no name.

You ever make a name or word up for a person , place or thing in a video game?
I do it all the time, then my friends end up calling it the same thing lol.

I do... I guess... but only in my head.
I generally only play games by myself so it's not like I'm talking to anybody.
But whenever I'm playing something and there is a level that is hard to pronounce or something, I just make a simplified version of it.
This isn't neccassarily hard to pronounce, but I always think of Koriki Village are "Kork Village"

Haha - that's funny...I only wish I could remember the names of stuff my little brother would come up with. The kid used to invent entire backstories for the characters....especially in the Mega Man villains..

I refere to the Grenade gun in "Quake 2" as the DURK DURK
gun cuz thats the sound it makes when you shoot .

I always say "Excuse Me" hahah.

When I play Tetris Attack with my friends, and I build up a really big garbage block only to have it come back at me in about 25 seconds. That's called a F**kback. We also invented a lot of names for tactics in that game which I couldn't begin to describe ><

Stupid, but my friend and I used to call those bees that shoot you on the first level of Sonic the Hedgehog "fart flies" back in the day. What do you expect from two idiots who watched too much Beavis & Butthead?

thanks to Aqua Teen Hunger Force, whenever I play a shooter, like Gradius or R-Type...I say "Now I have the quad laser"

HAHAHAHAH! Some of your names are hilarious... I know my friends and I had a bunch, but the only ones that I can think of ATM is one of the huge boss' in one of the Double Dragon for NES (I think it was DD2, the dude had a huge tank or something :P ), we called him Arnold Schwarzenegger... and in Tetris when you'd get 4 rows (I think it's actually called a tetris), we called it an earthquake (since the screen shook).

Oh, and I learned a new one a few days ago from a friend... the guy dropping the bombs in Kaboom for the 2600 (in the prisoner suit)... when my friend was younger, he used to call him Larry, which is his brother who is in prison LOL .

You know the part in Resident Evil 4, when you meet the shop merchant and he says "Welcome Stranger" ?
I overdubb it with "Whatup Son........" (in the same voice) haha.

then you got the "MILKYLICKERS" (the creatures in Quake 2 that attack you with that long tounge)

then you got that game "The Suffering"
when you get the Zombium, and you use the Waynes World voice to say "Your Pills?"

Doom 3, on nightmare level when it counts down your health it sounds like its saying "Aw For Real?" so thats what i say, over and over and over and over again lol.

I call all the game cheats i use "Crispy Codes"


Toejam and earl 3, for the xbox...
Those boogieman enemies that only come out when
it gets dark...

I start singing "Maneater by Hall and oats"
because they they have a phrase in the song that says
"They only come out at night,,, ooooOOooo.

I got into the habit of calling the giant mace-wielding monsters in Onimusha 3 that have a habit of clobbering each other when they get in the way None-Too-Brights.

I tend to have nicknames for things that have names already. Like MGS2, which for a while starred Some Idiot (later upgraded to Raiden, the Indomitable Girly Man) and His Girlfriend. :D
