Nope, you can't beat free.

Local woman inherits old video game. Video game stops working. Local woman offers video game for free. Ninja hits the scene.

The game wouldn't even power up for her by the time she decided it had to go, but prior to that, the video crapped out. Some quick wire connecting in the basement fixed the power issue and now the game plays perfectly fine blind. Judging by the blown fuse on the deflector board, I suspect the problem there will be easily tracked and repaired.

Makes me jealous enough to drive up to your house and stand next to it, then talk about how jealous I am while holding a beer.

So, I replaced the blown fuse in this sucker and it ran just fine (well, with a rotated picture, but that's fixable) for about five minutes. Then the game died and I smelled smoke. Haven't found the source of the smoke, nor a cause yet.

Any flamage on the AR board? I know those resistors have a tendency to do that..

Damn, that's a sweet score.

One day I'm going to find a color vector monitor, and make a VectorMame cab. One day...

While this is bumped, did you ever finish it? Or are you still busy on your pins.

Has anybody ever seen the cabaret version of this game? I didn't even know it existed.

I'm actually trading it away...

Between pins and getting some working vectors in here, I'm not terribly excited about keeping it. I'll be furthering my B&W game collection with it, so it's a good cause :)

Hey, I have one of those in my basement. LOL It's in awseome condition and works great except for one thing. The right controller won't go forward. I took the good switch from the left controller and swapped it out, no go. Tried a new POKEY chip which is supposed to handle some of the controls, no go. I'm out of ideas Though I am pretty good at it even though I have limited movement. LOL

if you want a pokey, get a cheap atari ballblazer cart. smash it up and nick the pokey out of it :)
