Have had all sorts of ebay phishing attempts over the last couple of years, but here is a new one that I've not seen before:

eBay Unpaid Item Strike Received: #6787143731

You have received an Unpaid Item strike
You were the winning buyer on eBay item #6787143731 .The seller, has informed eBay that payment for the item has still not been received, or that the two of you were not able to come to agreement. As a result, you have received an Unpaid Item strike.

Remember, Unpaid Item strikes may result in your suspension from eBay.

You can appeal this Unpaid Item strike if you believe it is not deserved. First, read the requirements for appealing the strike. If you meet them, you can submit your appeal on that page. If your appeal is successful the strike will be removed.

If you have recently paid for the item number listed below or do you feel it to be a mistake, you must Remove the Unpaid Item Strike Now.

Regards,
The eBay Team

The email was extremely well done and looked exactly like an official ebay email, no spelling mistakes that I have spotted, layout spot on. But the web addresses are fake, there is no such item as the one they mention and it doesn't greet me by name, so it is clearly a spoof.

Watch out for it guys, I'm sure many of you will be receiving similar ones very soon!

I've spotted a few grammatical, capitalization, and punctuation errors myself. Not spot on or flawless like you said.

Yes, grammar is slightly off in one or two places. But, as I said, there are no spelling mistakes, and the html layout was pretty much perfect. The grammatical mistakes are few (I think there are two, perhaps three in the whole thing, and they are not so outrageous as to immediately grab your attention).

Anyway, for me this one was significantly more professionally done than any I have received before.

I recived one of these yesterday. It said that another e-mail had been registered on my Paypal account or something.
Its always easy to spot if they are fake tho. Just check where the url goes.

I got one this morning that addressed me by my full e-mail and said something about needing to change my credit card info. I thought it was legit at first since my card is pretty much maxed out at this point, but when I got curious and clicked the link the url was something like "motorcycle_lawyer_info.com" or some b.s. like that.

ALMOST got me.

I got a message from a supposed buyer at my Gmail account - which is only used for Paypal transactions. I get eBay notifications at my Parodius address.

It almost got me too. Gmail didn't even recognize it as spam!
