I wonder if it'll be any good. Opinions?

Of course! Pitfall 3D for the PS1 was a fun game, and this one will be too. My only complaint with the PS1 game was the "swinging" camera. Instead of keeping Harry centered in the middle of the screen, he would move left and right across the frame. That constant swinging motion gave me a headache.

Hopefully the PS2 game will keep the character rock steady in the center of the screen. The background should move around on the screen, not the character.

hmm the pitfall on gen and snes sucked, it was too hard and didnt feel right. hope they get this one right as pitfall II was one of my all time favorites. i get frusterated easily with games that focus too much on timed jumps, i'm looking for more an explore/adventure game. still its nice to nice activision alive and well and sticking to its roots.

Wouldn't it be more in keeping with the original to have Harry move around and the backgrounds stay fixed?

Thank you.

I guess you didn't like Super Pitfall for NES then? LOL LOL

Hopefully it'll be a lot better than Pitfall The Mayan Adventure. I had the GBA version for a whole day before I got rid of it.

Whichever. I need *something* to be stable in my games or I get motion sickness. Having both the background and harry moving in Pitfall 3D definitely didn't work for me. :puke:

Are there 3D platform games where the character moves but the backgrounds stay fixed? I can not think of any?
