Whats that ONE game that you see at retail, gameshops, pawnshops etc? EXCLUDING SUPER MARIO BROS NES ;)

It can be classic up to current-gen on any system.

I see dead ppl....oh wait ..lost train of thought for a minute  anyway the ONE game I see EVERY FREAKING TIME I go to ANY store is State of Emergency its like a nightmare it just keeps following me around.

I honestly beleive there has to be like 3 million copies of this damn game :grumble: hell one of my local video stores had like 20 used copies of this game marked down to $5 a piece and they sat there collecting dust for months I had to keep moving the damn things out of my way so I could search for GOOD games LOL

EDIT: I searched for this topic and didnt find anything directly related to it but I could have missed one so anyway whatever :D

Rescue Mission for Master System!!! It's everywhere!!!!!! I hate it!!!!! Every time i find some sms games, Rescue Mission is there!!!! And if I find just one game, well, it's this one. Much more than smb/dh for NES. Maybe it's so only in Italy.

I'd say this would be better broken down by system, no?

My vote's probably for one of the NBA games. So many freaking basketball games...

Yeah true it would be easier to list ONE game for different systems so thats kool.

I was just interested in the OVERALL game that ppl see the most I thought it would be interesting to see what games are more prevailent in other countries etc.

GTA - VC. Everyone I know owns it. No one I know plays it. It's in every pawn shop, Blockbuster, and flea market I visit.

Has to be Madden Football. Gaurenteed if there is a video game pile of slightly newer stuff you will see Madden Football of some year.

Pac-Man, Asteroids, Combat, and Space Invaders for the 2600. And they're always 50 cents per cart.

and I seem to run into Final Fantasy VII, and VIII everywhere, as well. -_-

I seem to see the common Genesis sports titles (like NHL 94 or whatever) all over the place.
There are some spots that I check out every once and a while and never find anything but multiple copies of those games.

SUPER MARIO BROS- Duck Hunt NES...I Used to see these all over CHEAP>>25 cent-50 cent.

Now I hardly see them at the flea markets I go to...It'a actually hard for me to find them now as I alwals pick them up to include with the Nintendo's I sell on Ebay.

The last one I found at a Flea Market the lady vendor charged me $3.00 for and I bought it...I need all I can get.

on ps2 it's gta: vice city

when it comes to nes collecting i tend to see more copies of solstice than anything else... computer exchange had like 6 of them out of the ten or so carts they had in stock, lol i actually offered them some of my doubles back then (90 different games in varying quantites) and they abrubtly told me they wouldnt pay much for them as they only wanted the rarer titles like the ones they had in stock... i cant see how 6 copies of solstice one one shelf constitutes it as being rare

For current generation I come across a ton of
Conflict Desert Storm (XBox).

Handhelds would have to be Pokemon Blue.

Classics would be Bulls vs. Blazers (SNES).

FIFA games. In our local store there's at least one copy of every FIFA game from 1997-2005. I'm tempted just to buy them, line them up and use them in some extreme vg form of domino rally.

Well I think most systems have games that you see all the time. Other than SMB/DH the most common game I see is NBA Jam for Genesis. There are probabley over 200 copies of that game in my town alone for sale. Any of the Madden games for Genesis or N64 are really common as well, along with the All Star Baseball titles for N64 too.

Over in the UK we used to have Electronics Boutique but that changed to GAME - all the pre-owned stuff always seems to be crappy sports titles.

It doesn't matter how much they discount them cos they always stay on the shelves - you would think that they would get the message eventually.

Yeah right.

When looking at Genesis games, aside from all the ea crap sports games, I see Mortal Kombat. it can be the first one or the second one or even 3. It doesn't matter. Go check the Genesis games at your local shop and you'll find a Mortal Kombat title in there with its nice red lable(top).

Any of those pack-in Xbox games....but especially the Sega GT/ Jet Grind combo. They usually have the shit beat out of them but I managed to find one that probably hadn't seen the disc tray.

NES - The first Bases Loaded.
SNES - Super Play Action Football. Excluding sports, it's Super Mario World. A local EB alone has over 10 copies of them.
Genesis - Excluding sports titles, Sonic 2.
Game Gear - Sonic 2.
N64 - Turok 2.
PlayStation - Boxing.
PS2 - Super Trucks Racing, which I'll probably get once I see it under $5.
Gamecube - Turok Evolution.
Xbox - Sega GT/JSRF combo.
Game Boy - Pokemon Blue.
Game Boy Color - Pokemon Pinball.
Game Boy Advance - Pokemon Sapphire.

For me, things are a bit different.

The PSone game that "follows" me is Parasite Eve. The locally owned store from which most of my games come has like FOUR copies of non-GH Parasite Eve. Every other game store I've been to has at least one. If anyone wants a fairly cheap copy of non-GH Parasite Eve that has been treated well, don't hesitate to PM me.

Things are slightly different for me in the GBA department too. I could only WISH to be stalked by Pokémon Sapphire; my boyfriend has been looking for his own copy for months.

Anyhoo, I have the extreme displeasure of being "followed" by the fucking Yu-Gi-Oh games, especially the Japanese version of World Championship Tournament 2004, or whichever one it was that came with the 3 cards that people would buy JUST FOR THE FUCKING CARDS, and trade the game in the next day because they can't read Japanese. But they can go to their friends and say "OMG This r0x0rz I have the God cards!!!!1" and then immediately proceed to get their asses kicked and their $100 investment stolen from them on the playground.

Sorry about the above. :embarrassed:

Gran Turismo 3 PS2

I see piles of copies at every EB I go to. Most pawns have it in abundance as well. Regular, the red cover (from pack-in?), and GH.

If I had known, I would have waited to buy the game. I bought it when I got my PS2 back in May '03. I just bought GT4 a few weeks ago. My GT3 is still sealed...

I second that.

Also, my store has an obscene amount of backstock on Gran Turismo 4. We have 140+ copies in our inventory. Probably cuz whoever's in charge of shipping a certain amount of product to stores got overzealous and thought we'd piss through them but the game doesn't sell because it's a big disappointment.

But yeah, there's always an overabundance of sports games, especially in the used stores.

The ONE game I see everywhere is SMB/Duckhunt...but that's pretty obvious.

I always run into lots of sport titles on SNES and Genny. If I walk into a pawn shop and they have like 30 SNES games...at least 20 of them are usually sports.

It's the same on the Dreamcast. I always run into NHL 2k, NBA 2k, and NFL 2k. Those are sometimes the only dreamcast games I ever see at pawn shops and thrift stores.

Also, my store has an obscene amount of backstock on Gran Turismo 4. We have 140+ copies in our inventory.

That reminds me of the time I went into Game Crazy shortly before GT 4 came out. The guy working there said I better pre-order it, otherwise I would probably never be able to get my hands on a copy...ever. :hmm:

Dreamcast: Sonic Adventures 1
Gameboy: Zelda
Gamegear: Sonic 2
Genesis: Sonic
Super Nintendo: Mario World
Master System: Hangon/Safarri Hunt
NeoGeo Pocket Color: Metal Slug 1
Nintendo: Mario/Duckhunt
Nintendo64: NBA
Playstation: Grand Theft Auto
Saturn: Tomb Raider

No suprises here... and I don't generally look at next generation games.
