The recent hurricane here in Florida came and went overnight and I made it thorugh pretty well. No missing shingles, or any other storm damage, except on spot in the bedroom developed a very small leak. This leak was over my nightstand and the only thing that got wet was my NGage.

Initially, I didn't realize it was wet. I noticed the battery was low and I plugged it into the charger. A few mintues later it started acting all crazy and I noticed a few water drops had leaked out. So now its filled with water and plugged into the wall. I quickly unplugged it took it apart. I'm pretty much assuming the phone is a gonner at this point. Quite a lot of water was still in the battery compartment. I let it dry for a few hours and put it back together. After a few false starts and a few more glitches, my NGage is back to normal now. I wish all my systems took abuse this well. The only conclusion I can draw here is that god loves the NGage.

Yep, i'd consider false starts and glitches normal for an NGage.

Nah, I'm just kidding. I'm one of the few who still uses one... although it has been in for repairs 3 times already. O_O

My N-Gage died from water. I wish I were as lucky as you. :(

A similar thing happened to me last night at this House Party i was at...

My mate Stu has this huuuuge trampoline which i kinda got giddy about, put all my belongings on the outside table, (N-Gage, Wallet, Camera... They were safe as it wasnt a big house party, and i knew everyone there and trusted them)

Anyways, it started to rain a little, but when youre on a trampoline, you just dont care ;)
Anyways my Ngage got soaked, water under the screen too...

But like yours, its perfectly fine... and i dont think its the first time water has been inside it either!

Man, you must weigh a tonne, coz I sit on my n-gage all the time and its working great! Infact my n-gage takes a fair bit of abuse and the worst thats happened was it fell to pieces on impact with a tile floor.

This happened with a cell phone of mine once...it just wouldn't work right, aven when I took it apart an blow-dried the insides. I finally took it apart and let it sit for 2 weeks...worked liek a charm. My bet is that really tiny trace amounts of moisture snuck into places like under ICs and such...it just needed to very slowly air dry and evaporate.

Yes, and things got even worse when it was actually released.
