This past weekend I picked up a 1971 Bally Fireball pinball machine. It's in decent shape and from what I can tell everything mechanically works on the playfield.
However I do have 1 problem and 1 question.
Problem: Something is causing the metal housing the glasstop to become electried so that you get a good shock if you touch it. However the coin mech door, plunger and power switch do not have this problem. Also sometimes you can play up to 30 minutes and just happens, other times you can plug the power cord in and not even turn on the machine and still get shocked. Now I've tried looking for exposed wires but couldn't find any. Anybody have any other suggestions?
Question: Is there any store bought cleaners I can use on the outside cabinet and the playfield to help clean them?
I've found a few things online but was wondering if there was anything store bought I could use.
BTW: Here's a pic of the machine.
